Drag Race Down Under

Global Allstars is coming soon.

Another Winners season would be great, there are plenty of winners now.

Confirmation that TVNZ is not showing the new season.

Also confirmed that Sacha Colby (winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15) is the guest judge this season.

Michelle seems to be in Australia at the moment, doing some press for the show.

Season 4 premieres on Friday, November 1, on Stan, as well as WOW Presents Plus in the U.S., New Zealand, and select territories worldwide.

I watched the first episode of this new season (I’ve not watched the Aussie one since the first) as I really like Max the Drag Queen, who I have seen many times in Melbourne. I just really struggle with the Aussie version though. I can’t get past the really poor production and editing… it is too choppy and the cameras are way too zoomed in especially on the mainstage. It feels really cheap. I think I’d struggle to watch another episode.

It’s much better than past years, I think but more $$$ has been put into the production this year. Also
Michelle as host has really changed the vibe which i like.

Agree. Its terrible, and Michelle (as much as I love her) hosting and not Ru, is not helping the cause.

Also, quite possibly the worst Snatch Game ever. So bad, they didnt even call it the ‘Snatch Game’…

I’ve been following along and agree with the other comments – it’s a much cheaper, weaker version. The episodes are also being released at the same time as the UK version, and they’re like night and day!

Michelle has been a great host. I really enjoyed this season.

So the fourth season finale is on tonight. I guess we should not post the results until New Year’s Eve or thereabouts, to give everyone ample time to catch up?

Why should it be different to any other show?

This time last year, I posted the TV Tonight article the morning after the finale, and was criticised for spoiling the results. Eventually a mod put on a spoiler tag on it.

So I am trying to be cautious this time around.

I agree, it’s been the best down under season by a long way
I don’t know the result, so I’m not spoiling, but I also think Lazy Susan is by far the best queen there’s been across all Down Under seasons.

I don’t think you need to worry this time around - once it’s broadcast it is fair game, just had a look at the reasoning last time and I think that is fair warning for people.

While the winner was announced by host Michelle Visage in the pre-recorded episode, an intimate viewing party was also held at Oxford Street in Sydney last Friday where the winner was crowned (spoilers inside).

Nine’s website also has interviews with the final four.
