I think the status quo is keeping things how they are with the whole clock thing. Whatever you want, whatever you need… just keep things the same.
What annoys people about daylight saving is the hassle. So Sanjeev wants me to call him at 9am. Is that his time or our time? He’s got AEST on his calendar invite… is that eastern summer time? Or standard time. Who knows? These southerners are always jiggering us around. The Big Bash starts tonight at 6.50. What? Their time? Our time?
Everyday we have to go through such drama. And we’re not the ones constantly fooling around with our clocks.
That’s your personal choice I guess. I finish at 4:30 so I still have a solid 4 hours of daylight. And as I said before the things I do in daylight I feel I can do without. I don’t go to sleep as soon as the sun goes down. I enjoy night time walks and meals. To be honest I prefer night time to daytime.
Oh ok. Yes well, it’s hard to argue against that. I even checked the Ass Prof’s methodology and it all seems to stack up. So I concede that maybe you lefties have the numbers on this one.
That’s interesting. If support for current DLS is that high in NSW and Vic surely there would be support to extend it into September and April. You can sense that the city comes to life when daylight savings start and the seasonal depression starts as soon as it ends.
