EPISODE 4
WEDNESDAY 26 NOVEMBER 8.30 PM
From fingerprinting to the advent of DNA profiling, the panel explores forensic science’s impact on criminal justice, while assessing the “CSI Effect” and its unrealistic portrayal of forensic capabilities.
The infamous Lindy Chamberlain case takes centre stage, highlighting how flawed evidence led to a miscarriage of justice. Lou Wall discusses the transformative power of DNA in solving cold cases and the panel looks at the potential of microbiome analysis. While invaluable, forensic science isn’t always fast, flawless or foolproof.
EPISODE 5
WEDNESDAY 3 DECEMBER 8.30 PM
Host Julia Zemiro and expert criminologists Prof. Danielle Reynald and Dr. David Bartlett are joined by Claire Hooper and Nick Cody to explore the power of conformity and its role in crime.
Ultimately the episode reveals that being hardwired to fit in can lead to serious crime and how being the lone voice in the crowd is very important.
I’ve watched the first two episodes now and still don’t understand what this show is about. Can someone dumb it down for me please?
I tried to give it a go this week because I heard the show was different to what I thought it was about. It seemed to jump all over the place and I couldn’t figure out what they were trying to achieve. I gave up after about five minutes.
So it’s not just me. I just don’t “get it”.
I ended up watching the whole thing last week. They pick a topic and talk about it and that’s about it. Its ok but it took me a few episodes to get into it. Some episodes are better than others. Personally, I Thought the last half of the episodes was better.
