Community Television

On the TV, I presume.

Well, yes. The point I was trying to make is that I can’t find it on my TV so how/where do others have access?

Community TV is only available in Melbourne (& Geelong) and Adelaide on Channel 44. A live stream on both are on CTV+. Programs are also uploaded to YouTube.

Thanks.

It would be nice if the CTV alliance broadened their scope a little and gave other “community stations” a place on the CTV+ app to build an audience. There are quite a few that are live streaming now:

First Nations TV Darwin
Tourism TV Darwin
Ngaarda TV Roebourne
SMTV Jindabyne
CTB Perth
CTB Movies
CTB News
CTB Live Events

ICTV does a live playlist (like the Fetch AVC channels) but could still technically be integrated.

CTV+ and the individual organisations would benefit greatly I think.

Bring back TVS or Channel 31 Sydney. :face_with_monocle:

Can’t remember the name of the previous licence holder in Sydney before TVS. Their endless VHS loop that was on-air for several months with the ‘Guess Which Bucket Has Piss In It Competition” was a real low point. No wonder they lost the then Sydney licence.

I thought most of this channel was a scenic loop?

I’m unfamiliar with this one?

It was just Channel 31 (or Channel 31 Sydney), licensed to Community Television Sydney Ltd. Also, the ‘Guess Which Bucket Has Piss In It Competition” - I hope they mean alcohol, not urine.

Their website is awful, and I still can’t figure out who they are or what they actually do. The main CTB Perth stream and the Movie stream play lots of classic stuff, but the News stream doesn’t seem to show any real news at all, even though they keep talking about “journalistic integrity.”

Yeah, it’s pretty bad. Feels like it’s been knocked up quickly.

Probably either user generated stuff, or you’d hope it’d be public domain stuff.

So…just like 95% of the news that’s out there today. :joy:

Well, can’t remember exactly. It was implied as urine.
