Claire Hooper’s House of Games

:joy: It is so slow too. There’s no way it’ll be back after this limited run.

So, just like the original British show.

Yeah, was going to say this.. given the same people appear over the week it’s a pretty slow burn from that perspective - couldn’t see this working on any other network than the ABC tbh, and even then remakes often bomb more than they become hits.

I like Claire, but I don’t think that she is right for this. It also feels very dead without a studio audience.

Spending time in Claire Hooper’s House of Games this week, are ABC’s very own Myf Warhurst, cricketer Damien Fleming, and comedians Sammy J and Zoë Coombs Marr tackling some trivia to win the trophy, and maybe a dog bowl.

When does this shit end?

So are they using the same group of celebs in eps 26-30 as they did in eps 16-20?

Sounds and looks just as shit and dire as the UK one. It’s made for knitting grandmas who want something deathly quiet in the background.

###EPISODES 46-50

From MONDAY 23 JUNE 6.30PM

In Claire Hooper’s House of Games this week, stage star Lucy Durack, horticulturist Jamie
Durie, and comedians Dilruk Jayasinha and Lizzy Hoo compete for the grand prize – a trophy or a
spoon holder that looks like a crab.

This week our celebrities argue about who is Claire’s Perfect Match, if One Out of Four Ain’t Bad
and whether Three Heads Are Better Than One. Will someone take home a House of Games merch haul and who will win the trophy?

Look I presume it is actually rating well in it’s timeslot. Anyone suggest not?

Check the daily ratings thread, think it usually hovers around high 200’s to low 300’s.

Not that awful for a pretty boring show, not great either.

The final episode of the season of House Of Games in episode 50 this Friday.

I do have to wonder if a second season of this show will be happening?

Was it considered a hit? For ABC standards at 6.30pm?
