Whether it’s rescuing new born chicks from a fast flowing river, guiding a baby pond turtle to a nearby river, or finding out how a baby elephant uses its trunk to eat, drink and socialise, our team will be with them every step of the way.

Life on an iceberg in the Antarctic throws up lots of funny situations and challenges for best friends Pancake, Nugget, Brinicle, Looph and Flutter from vertigo-inducing ice slides to a tropical island with less than friendly inhabitants, dealing with music mayhem from a flotsam jukebox and sharing an ice- cave with the World’s Messiest Penguin.

Along the way they learn about friendship, life in all its fishy glory and have tons of fun along the way.

Step inside the TheatreDome for an exhilarating battle of wits and theatrical fun, premiering weekdays from August 4 at 7.30am on 9Go! and 9Now.

TheatreDome is an electrifying new series bringing a fresh wave of creativity and fun to children’s television. Breaking new ground, TheatreDome reworks the traditional improv format to resonate with young Aussies, standing out as Australia’s first improvisational shows for children.

Aspiring drama students step inside the TheatreDome for a series of hilarious improv sketch battles. Guided by professional mentors known as “The Oracles”, two teams, The Fates and The Muses, go head-to-head within the mysterious TheatreDome, under the watchful eye of The Great Overseer. The ultimate goal? To be crowned the undisputed champion of the TheatreDome!

Leading The Fates team is Ashlee Lollback, and leading The Muses is Jack McGirr. They are the Oracles who bring a sibling-like rivalry to each episode, with their competitive nature and friendship shining through. While it’s technically a competition, they can’t help but support and cheer on the opposing side.

Tomas Pocilujko steps into the role of The Great Overseer, presiding over the TheatreDome with an insatiable appetite for entertainment. Tomas shared his excitement, stating, “Taking on this role has been an absolute blast. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the freedom to improvise and play within this theatrical world, something very rare in television. It’s the perfect blend of the theatre and TV worlds.”

Calling curious kids! Fizzy & Suds is back for season 2

The ABC is bubbling with excitement as season 2 of children’s series Fizzy & Suds premieres at 3:40pm on Monday 8 September on ABC Kids and iview.

Fizzy and Suds, two animated bubbles with boundless curiosity, are ready to dive into a fresh batch of real-world fascinations, with episodes focusing on Penguins, Garbage Trucks, Railways, Bees, Noodles, Storms, Frogs and more. They’ll bring viewers along for the ride with their signature sparkle and wonder.

Each episode is a sensory journey that celebrates curiosity, playful exploration and the thrill of discovering a new subject of fascination. Fizzy & Suds champions children’s passions and divergent thinking, encouraging audiences to follow their interests and think outside the box.

ABC unveils two new original children’s series

The ABC, Screen Australia and the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) have announced two new children’s series at the Australian Children’s Content Summit in Coffs Harbour. Animated sit-com Happy House, supported by VicScreen, and live-action comedy Caper Crew supported by Screen NSW, will be coming to the ABC from 2026.

In Caper Crew, Amelia and Kai Delaney’s quiet lives are upended when their con-artist Grandmother Queenie mysteriously turns up, teaching them the art of the grift – sparking their hunt for the priceless Woodspring Nug. This is the first children’s series from acclaimed production company Easy Tiger. Set up director is Guy Edmonds (Hardball), joined with directors Stef Smith (It’s Fine I’m Fine) and Shelly Lauman (Birdie). The series is written by Keith Thompson (Lockie Leonard), Matthew Whittet (Heartbreak High), Amy Stewart (Beep and Mort), Jack Yabsley (Gold Diggers) and Erica Harrison (Gold Diggers).

Happy House is set in a world where internet-famous animals are the creators of their own adorable viral content. The series follows a crew of teen animal content creators as they navigate friendships, rivalries and awkward crushes, all while juggling the pressures of being teens in the digital age. Happy House is co-created and written by Alix Beane (Surviving Summer) and Marisa Nathar (Rock Island Mysteries) with animation by 12field Animation and directed by Kelly Lynagh (The Flamin’ Thongs). Produced by Media World Pictures.

ABC Director Screen, Jennifer Collins said, “The ABC is proud to deliver on our commitment to world-class children’s stories and we’re delighted to bring these original series to the screen. Happy House dives into content-creator culture with sharp humour and fun, and Caper Crew brings mystery and mayhem with a uniquely Australian quirkiness.”
