Not sure, but it was fairly recently that they started to air. I assume they started picking up CN shows because they’ve been losing their Nickelodeon/Nick Jr. shows since 10 Shake rebranded to Nickelodeon, so I’d suppose they’d pick up CN shows to fill the void. Also, I’ve been noticing that they’ve been airing some WB movies as of late, so it could be connected to that?

Also, Both of the aforementioned shows used to air on 9Go’s former GoKids block until it’s demise at the end of 2019, although WBB did stick around for a bit in 2020.

Cartoon Network has dropped most of their older original series from the schedule of their main channel and Boomerang. They are filling the vacant slots with reruns of newer originals, acquired series, or, in Boomerang’s case, Cartoonito programming.

It’s possible that WBD cut a deal with ABC to ensure that those series remain accessible via free-to-air by extending existing agreements for film rights to cover other content libraries.

Might as well either open a Cartoonito channel at this point, Foxtel needs something to fill for Nick Jr’s departure.

Also as an ex-Foxtel user, out of interest does Channel 723 now house ABC Entertains since the closure of ABC Me, or has it been replaced with ABC Kids/Family or gone altogether?

ABC Entertains (ABC Me) was actually moved following the channel’s reformat and now sits alongside ABC Kids and Family (ABC TV Plus) in the 150 channel range.

I don’t think they’re interested in opening any new channels. The future is streaming.

Not to mention the Cartoon Network brand will probably be leaving the Foxtel Group in a few months anyway when Max launches here.

Good to read that Gardening Australia Junior is returning for a second season.

January 1 and 3 for the first two episodes though? Seems random. Noone is watching tv at that time of year

You see, IF 10 were smart they could use Nickelodeon to their advantage.

9 & 7 don’t really have much to offer (unless you count 9Go! & 7Flix)
