CBeebies

BBC kids’ channel, CBeebies, is putting the ‘disco’ into discovery, one landmark at a time with brand new Go Jetters, a unique geography-based pre-school series.

The new program offers geography learnings rarely covered for this upper-preschool age group.

Aimed at 4-6 year olds, the series will air in Australia each weeknight on CBeebies from 4.15pm AEDT throughout January.

Complete with a new website and interactive online game, Go Jetters is an animated comedy adventure series weaving accessible geography concepts into engaging and child-relatable stories.

Incorporating music, cool gadgets and disco-dancing to fire up the imagination, the series develops learnings about people, places and environments whilst taking audiences on a funky adventure around the world.

Starring a one-of-a-kind, disco-loving, superhero unicorn, the Go Jetters’ team save well-known world landmarks from destruction, including Australia’s Sydney Opera House and Great Barrier Reef.

Airing on CBeebies international channels across 73 territories, the beautifully crafted new animation series is packed with comedy, teamwork, action, awesome sights and fantastic facts about well-known landmarks.

“Go Jetters is one of our most exciting new shows,” said Tim Christlieb, Director of Channels, BBC Worldwide Australia and New Zealand.

"It offers kids everything that we’re passionate about for our Aussie CBeebies viewers — it’s funny, fast-paced and full of adventure helping little-ones to develop a sense of the globe in a fun, exploratory way.

"And it stars a disco-loving unicorn. What’s not to love about that?”

Go Jetters is an original commission by BBC Worldwide’s Director for Children’s Henrietta Hurford-Jones and CBeebies controller Kay Benbow created alongside geography advisors and award-winning composers.

Go Jetters airs each weekday on CBeebies at 4.15pm AEDT throughout January.
