If only they had a show like The Project to screen it in.
Didnât realise Naomi Robsonâs summer fill-in is now working for CBS, thought she left Seven for an asia posting 16 years ago
Donât need her whole resume listed. I mean she read the news on Today On Saturday occasionally to.
I believe it was her longest tenure so it needs a mention. But fine.
One of the major problems with foreign ownership is it prioritizes the foreign ownerâs home country or assets. Itâs a reason for why foreign companies canât own broadcasters in Canada like they do in Australia, the UK or New Zealand.
I doubt this was the reason CBS nabbed the interview
of course
Seems like the ABC and 10 got given a feed of the interview, while Seven and Nine recorded it off-air from their LA bureaus.
Itâs more complicated than that.
The ABC cap, based on the different watermark, is still from the âtrailerâ released Sunday.
Seven got the semi-dirty feed without the ticker. Nine got the dirty one.
ABC still using the YouTube version that everyone did the day before, while 7 and 9 were wise enough to record the full version ex LA bureaus overnight.
More likely the case was the offer of money.
Amongst some of the rhetoric here, there is a somewhat interesting backstory
10 has access to the full CBS News library so donât know why they didnât take it.
Iâm guessing they wouldâve aired it in full on News + if it was on air but alas another missed opportunity.
Do they have access to it instantly? Do they have access same day as a world exclusive in the home market of 10? I suspect CBS wanted a bit of branding out of it and didnât hand it over freely to 10.
Iâm guessing it will air on 10 News+ on Monday but youâre right, itâs a missed opportunity. This is why it shouldnât go âon holidaysâ.
Or at the least bring it back for a special presentation.
Iâd say they didnât want US networks to get the opportunity to use a feed without CBS on it (which the 10 version would have).
