Bondi Beach Shooting

The coverage showed people booing the PM and cheering on people like Howard etc. Says it all really, no gratitude or class at all and they’re quite pathetic. Frankly they shouldn’t get this much coverage after their bitterness and anger towards the government which is unfounded and completely bollocks.

At least the ABC’s sticking to the coverage well whilst the commercials have moved on.

Someone on master control probably just switched the AP feed rather than the offical stream to NBN. AP carrying the feed so looks identical at a glance.

Not gonna comment more about this in this topic but I’m sorry, when we’re supposed to come together and remember the people who were killed by the two nutbags last week making political statements comes off as very nasty and completely undignified. Save that for other times (and trust me they’ve had plenty of air time this week).

And I’m not going to change my view on this so let’s end it here.

From some clips I saw. PM got booed, Premier Minns got a standing ovation, others got claps. I felt everyone knew the boos were going to happen

It’s being hijacked for political purposes IMHO.

The ceremony has gone beyond the 8.30pm schedule finish.

Jessica Fox and Bondi lifeguard Anthony “Harries” Carroll are introducing the people who are lighting the hannukiah.

Spicks And Specks and whatever show was scheduled after it likely rescheduled to later in the week

Pretty weird that ABC had to follow on their promise to not interrupt the bulletin in NT, even though the opposite was done for 90% of the country.

At this point I don’t have confidence the ceremony will end by the time WA newscast airs either.

I think the NC may as well hand over to the late-night presenter at the conclusion.

These will most likely be on iView anyway. I watched Spicks and Specks this afternoon.

And we have wrapped up at 9.07pm AEDT. Coverage continued on TV and NC until 9.30.
