Bluey passes the billion-minute threshold on Disney +
The #Paris2024 Olympics continue to impact overall streaming program viewership, but two other titles also managed to pass the billion-minute threshold on our Top Ten Streaming List:
There was a report on Bluey on ABC Radio’s current affairs show PM this evening.
Host, Samantha Donovan: The beloved Australian TV phenomenon, Bluey, has just reached another milestone. The show’s executive producer announced on social media today that the animated series is the most watched show in the United States so far this year, with that country’s children and their parents having watched 35 billion minutes of Bluey in 2024.
According to Nielsen, Bluey is the most-watched series on streaming this year-to-date among total viewers in the US, with over 35 billion minutes watched (584m hours).
Daley Pearson – the director and co-founder of the award-winning Ludo Studio which produces Bluey – took to LinkedIn to comment on the incredible achievement.
“Bluey’s now the No.1 most-watched show (of all shows) in the United States of America for 2024. How incredible,” Pearson posted.
For fans who missed out on the coins, the Mint has revealed there is still the chance to find two non-coloured $1 coins featuring Bluey and Bingo in your change.

Bluey till coins will be available until Sunday, 29 September, or while stocks last. They will only be offered at participating Australia Post offices.

Rug Island, the third soundtrack album from the series, debuted at No.12 on ARIA Australian Albums chart (and outside top 50 in the overall albums chart) last Friday. It is available in CD, orange vinyl and streaming.
She will join the Professional UK Dancers performing The Mashed Potato, The Alligator and The Floss later this week.
British dancer and choreographer Neil Jones, who will be dancing alongside his fellow Strictly Professionals and Bluey herself says: “Many stars have taken to the ballroom over the years but this is next level! I can’t think of any other better occasion for us to say G’day to Bluey than for BBC Children in Need. It’s going to be Fab-Blue-Lous!”
