“Record Breakers” is on tonight. It’s a bit different.
Not sure how the ratings have been tracking this year compared to previous, but I’m tiring of seeing the same ninjas each year and largely the same courses. It will need a rework next year to keep me interested.
I agree. They keep flogging the same old people every year. Ben Polson, Olivia Vivian, Charlie Robbins, Flashin Herbert…spare me the rest.
Sure have them on but it’s getting coma-inducing to see the same old back story about ‘I’m going to conquer Midoriyama’ story every year. Woopidoo who cares? Bring in some more new blood please!
They need to change the courses up - these ones are too repetitive and focused very heavily on upper body strength this time. I’ve watched the USA vs the world type specials the last few years, and those courses are what we need.
The story producers are the same every year and reliant on the same storylines. Endemol suffers from hiring the same few people for all their shows and they become extremely repetitive as a result.
I didn’t watch the regular season this year but did watch Record Breakers. The special was great.
As others have mentioned, it is way too repetitive having the same names every year.
Keep them for a Record Breakers special each year and use fresh faces for the regular season.
In an Australian Ninja Warrior first, casting will now be open to Ninja hopefuls from the age of 16.
After five years of the blockbuster program on Channel 9, the minimum age for applications for season six has been lowered from 18 to 16, expanding the field of potential Australian Ninja Warrior champions. Can history be made with a 16-year-old athlete becoming the youngest person to claim the title?
Australian Ninja Warrior has captivated the nation and the smash-hit program will go superhuman in 2022 when the global phenomenon is completely reborn.
The next series will be supercharged with a whole new attitude and an extreme new course. Delighting and exciting fans, the transformation will push Ninjas into uncharted levels of punishing endurance.
Everyday athletes will once again put their bodies on the line to tame the world’s most difficult obstacle course and see if they have what it takes to conquer awesome Mt Midoriyama and win the coveted Ninja title, along with a potential prize jackpot of $200,000.
And stay tuned for more exciting developments in the coming months that will bring a whole new dimension to the format and completely amplify Ninja in 2022.
Eh. Didn’t really care about him hosting considering he was shouting at the top of his lungs like Bec Maddern was every time someone made it through which was a massive turnoff.
They should consider the likes of Clint Stanaway or James Bracey to replace Ben.
It actually makes a lot of sense. Get a polarising personality in Karl to replace the polarising Fordham and in the meantime giving Karl (and potentially Today) more exposure.
Crawford already hosts the show as a sideline commentator. I reckon he’ll stay there.
