Analysis of the ratings system

i think the overnight ratings should be a thing of the past. and I think it should be more focused on total numbers with it all including regional oz and bvod number

There are rumours it could launch in April.

OzTam’s Total TV measurement system VOZ has been on a hiatus since January in preparation for a relaunch later this year. After many pushbacks, it is understood that new datasets can be expected as early as May.

However, it’s not likely to instantly become the unified currency, as the legacy OzTam ratings are expected to run in parallel until the beginning of 2024.

Hooray

Sounds like Foxtel are even at least acknowledging VOZ and have been communicating on their internal (e.g.) Kayo for sport data vs OzTAM’s, off the vibe of some paragraphs from a Foxtel executive, but the story writer does hint earlier there’s still some issues between the two.

Some of these VOZ numbers really shed some interesting light on how well regional television rates - a lot of programming is outrating metro as a proportion of viewers to market size.

Difference being how many watch on streaming in metro?

when will the voz numbers be introduced here?

I notice a new Total TV Daily Consolidated 7 table has been introduced this week (the first one covering April 30). What is the difference between the new table and the other Total TV report?

Seven’s chief marketing and audience officer Melissa Hopkins has written an opinion piece in Mumbrella, saying the current overnight ratings model is archaic.

Has Kayo started having an impact on the pay bvod data yet (VPM), assume they’ll be combined with Foxtel Go and Now? OzTAM recently announced them and Foxtel came to an agreement on Kayo being added to the panel.
