Patience is upset when she is questioned by the police after coming under suspicion in the burning
man investigation. She needs to prove her innocence and crack the case.
Detective Bea learns more about the young woman’s autism and her difficult past and feels responsible for her. Patience is key to solving the case as she makes some important connections with other cold cases. Together they uncover a trail leading to South America and back.
Alphy’s attempts to cook a romantic dinner are interrupted when a familiar face arrives unannounced at the vicarage. Turns out it’s just the first interruption of the night.
Before long, the vicarage is packed with the suspects of a murder case, with Geordie arriving shortly after.
Together they attempt to reconstruct events and solve the case - while any hope of romance for Alphy is scuppered.

The team are called in to investigate the mysterious death of a young woman whose body is found among the dinosaur displays at a museum in York.
The investigation leads them into the shadowy world of fossil smuggling and Patience makes a startling deduction.
Meanwhile Detective Bea is struggling with the decision on whether to get her son tested for ADHD, but when she sees Alfie bond with Patience, she realises it is the right thing to do.

Anthony Burke returns in a sumptuous new international design series
Australian presenter and international design expert Anthony Burke (Restoration Australia and Grand Designs Australia) is back, this time to explore the universal appeal of ‘good design’ and the creative approaches of some of Asia’s most compelling contemporary artists.
From Yogyakarta, Indonesia, to Mumbai, India, Anthony meets with ceramicists, street artists, fashion designers, architects, furniture makers and weavers who are pushing the boundaries in developing sustainable, innovative, and ethical design, tackling global challenges like climate change, resource scarcity and social inequality.

The dead man, Harry Franklin is one of Patience’s favourite writers and she is intrigued by his death and his reclusive life.
Patience helps make an important breakthrough in the case which links back to a decades old fire which left the writer terribly scarred and a woman dead.
