Bergerac is focussed on pursuing the possible role of police corruption in Tony’s murder, involving one of Jersey’s most senior police officers. Was Superintendent Richard Gibbon involved in tampering with evidence that meant that Tony escaped a drink-driving and manslaughter charge? And could Tony’s threat to tell the truth have brought about his murder?
As evidence mounts against Gibbon, Bergerac and Barney know they will have to tread very carefully.
