###Banksy Does New York

Sunday 6 August at 8:30pm

On Oct. 1, 2013, the elusive British street artist known as Banksy launched a self- proclaimed month-long residency in New York City, posting one unique exhibit a day in an unannounced location, sparking a 31-day scavenger hunt both online and on the streets for Banksy’s work.

Capturing this month of madness, Banksy Does New York incorporates user-generated content, from YouTube videos to Instagram photos from New Yorkers and Banksy hunters alike.

With installations spanning all five boroughs of NYC, and including a mix of stencil graffiti, sculpture, video and performance art, Banksy touched on such wide-ranging subjects as fast-food wages, animal cruelty in the meat industry, civilian casualties in Iraq and the hypocrisy of the modern art world.

A pair of Banksy hunters and dog walkers using the handle @twowaytraffic chronicled their month-long search on camera, while Stephan Kezler, owner of a Southampton gallery that buys and sells the street artist’s unauthorized, illegal, public work, sought out new and valuable pieces.

From Queens and Staten Island to Bushwick and the Lower East Side, each new piece was revealed daily on the artist’s @BANKSYNY Instagram account and website, but the exact locations of the pieces remained secret. Using Twitter hashtags and posts to Facebook, Instagram and Vine, art lovers and fans searched the streets for a new and often fleeting glimpse at Banksy’s work.

Adding to the thrill of the chase for Banksy fans was the uncertainty of whether a work would be altered by haters or removed by authorities before they arrived to see it.

###Never Ending Orgasm

Friday 11 August at 9:05pm

We know that some women are multi-orgasmic, experiencing between 2-3 orgasms during a sexual event, but there are also super-orgasmic women who can experience over a hundred orgasms in any one sexual encounter.

For the first time, a new study by McGill University, Canada, reveals stats and testimonies from over 450 super orgasmic women. Some of them can experience 10 orgasms - while others come hundreds of times, experiencing hours of pleasure. They vary in age and background, but have one thing in common: they are all still a mystery to science, as what happens to them has never been studied.

A group of super orgasmic women who took part in the Canadian study are taking it to the next stage. They will go into the lab and meet the best sex scientists in the world, to reveal: Is it all in their heads or can we prove and measure this endless chain of pleasure is really happening?

Thursday 21 and 28 September at 9pm

Venture into the secret world of magic during James Galea’s BEST TRICK EVER

James Galea is one of Australia’s leading magicians and in a brand-new series for ABC2, premiering on Thursday 21 September at 9pm, he’s on a mission to discover the ‘Best Trick Ever’.

With unique access to some of the biggest legends in the business (including those who’ve invented magic for David Blaine, David Copperfield and Dynamo), audiences will witness some of the world’s greatest magic tricks as well as the professional cheat moves and classified artefacts used in the closely guarded, underground world of the con artist.

Plus, James showcases some of his own jaw-dropping tricks, some of which have been unleashed on unsuspecting Aussies, including a trick performed in Summer Hill which has to be seen to be believed!

Filmed in Australia and the US, never before has a show had such unprecedented access to the world of magic.

“It was really exciting to be able to shoot this show in so many different places (including Sydney, New York, LA, and Las Vegas) and have the support of such wonderful artists willing to showcase their world. You get to meet some pretty quirky characters on the search for the Best Trick Ever,” said James Galea.

“I’m pretty pumped that Australian audiences (and everyone else!) will finally get to see what I’ve been working on behind closed doors for so long. It’s a pretty great time for magic right now and a thrilling time to have a show like this on the air, thanks to ABC2.”

Debbie Cuell, ABC Head of Entertainment, said: “James’ enthusiasm for his craft is contagious and to watch every day Australians react to his blend of trickery and humour is as rewarding as it is to see some of the greats discuss magic’s inner workings. He’s a rising star in the US and we’re thrilled to bring this series to the ABC2 audience.”

The series is created, written and executive produced by James Galea, directed by Adam Franklin, produced by Jo Dyer with Stuart MacLeod as Head of Magic/Executive Producer. The 2 x 60 mins series is A Rose Tinted Enterprises production.

James Galea’s BEST TRICK EVER will screen on Thursday 21 September and Thursday 28 September at 9pm on ABC2 and ABC iview. #BestTrickEver

Clique

From Friday 29 September at 9:00pm

Childhood soulmates Georgia (Aisling Franciosi) and Holly (Synnove Karlsen) are only a few weeks into the socalled best years of their lives at university in Edinburgh, when Georgia gets drawn into the elite clique of alpha-girls, led by lecturer Jude McDermid (Louise Brealey). Jude’s brand of feminism is alluring, just like the circle of bright students she surrounds herself with. Georgia’s effortless entry into the clique leaves Holly out in the cold. But Holly’s jealousy soon escalates to panic as Georgia begins acting erratically. Alarmed by this transformation in her best friend, Holly is compelled to follow her into Jude’s closely guarded circle.

What she discovers is a seductive world of lavish parties, populated by Edinburgh’s highest-powered business men and women. But it’s a world underpinned by sordid compromise, and as Holly exposes its deeply corrupt core, the danger mounts from all angles, for her and Georgia. Can Holly reclaim her soulmate? And at what cost to herself?

Suspect

From Friday October 6 at 10:30pm

image

From the producers of MTV’s Catfish: The TV Show, comes Suspect.

Across America, people are hiding deep secrets from their friends or loved ones. These lies can seriously damage a relationship and can wreak havoc on the lives of everyone involved.

In the hopes of bringing resolution to our concerned truth-seekers who have nowhere else to turn, Nev Schulman (Catfish) and his co-host, iO Tillett Wright tackle these deceptions head on. Nev and iO will examine the facts, seek out answers and push to uncover what’s really going on, delving into everything from secret identities, hidden addictions, to a host of other lies that could have hugely damaging consequences.

Through this process they hope to help bring the truth to the surface in order for these groups to move into a better and more honest relationship.

In the series premiere, Allen suspects his best friend is hiding an illness and Kristen is concerned her step-brother is binge-drinking.

Almost as much damage as using an undercover crew to out your best friend’s illness on international television. No wonder they didn’t tell you, Allen, nor will they tell you anything from here on out.

Remember when they used to air The Tonight Show at 10:30pm on a Friday. Those were the days.

Housemates - Season 2

From Wednesday 4 October at 9:20pm

Housemates uncovers the unique, unusual, and sometimes crazy ways Australians have made share housing work. In many streets across Australia, there will be some form of share house going on, and nearly everyone has had to share a house, flat or even bedroom at some point. Sharing a fridge or a bathroom with strangers is never easy. In series 2 of Housemates, we meet four very different share houses and the housemates that are trying to make it work.

There’s a ‘discipleship’ share house where everyone shares a room and a troubled background - but when two housemates leave, it is Jesus who chooses a replacement.

An all-female share house where two vegans and one meat-eater try to get along and go completely waste free - but when a new housemate moves in, can she fit in?

A sexually free and open share house where three male strippers, one ex-girlfriend, and one couple must manage all their relationships and keep the ‘family’ together.

And a group of anarchists who are launching their own community as they try to live outside of the capitalist system, but will it be a success? Each share house has a unique way of living, but could you live in these houses?
