Ahead of the new episodes, Lolohea said: “The return of The Pacific is a testament to the strength of our shared stories and the impact they have on our audience across the region. We will continue to shine a spotlight on a range of issues impacting the Pacific from climate change through to transnational crime, the latest developments in politics and major regional events.”

Raela said: “Celebrating our vibrant Pacific stories remains a priority for us as well as continuing to build our connection with Pacific communities. We’re also excited to present a special episode from Samoa as the Pacific nation hosts King Charles and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in October."

ABC Asia Pacific Newsroom Managing Editor, Matthew O’Sullivan said: “The Pacific is one of our proudest achievements. It is the first time we have the people of the Pacific telling their own stories, not just to each other, but to the world. I could not be prouder of the team working on the program, or their commitment to the region. And thank you to the Pacific peoples who place their trust in us to get it right. We couldn’t do it without you.”

Gorman added: “Since its inception, The Pacific has connected audiences across the Pacific and Australia through regional storytelling and trusted reporting of news and current affairs.
