that motif with the badges is lovely!!
The debate will be shown live on ABC News Channel across Australia. It will also air on local time on ABC TV, so it will be live in eastern states only on the main channel.
What happened to the days when the debates were simulcast across the free to airs. And while weâre at it bring back the worm!
When I was a kid, 9 would run the debates and ABC would simulcast it⌠I donât think we ever had wall to wall coverage like they do in the US.
End of the day, Sky set this up, it was a Sky program, so up to them where it aired or who they gave access to.
I was more referring to the ABC one.
Even if it is made avaliable, they donât take it these days - for the 2010 press club one, the start time was moved to ensure 10 could air it and still show MasterChef, and by 2013 IIRC some of the commercials aired it on their multichannels.
A caller asked about the worm on ABC Melbourne breakfast this morning. Co-host Bob Murphy joked that the ABC was working on the worm to appear on the debate next week.
that was a 9 gimmick anyway wasnât it? I donât think the ABC ran it.
One of the more interesting aspects of the ABC Radio energy forum this afternoon here in Brisbane. When Ali Moore signed off we got the local Drive promo then dead silence. Somebody I assume was a producer said âs***. I told her not to go into delayâ Then the f word. Some more silence then the 4pm news automatically came on. When the news had finished we got the silence again then the same person said âitâs how the producers mic is set upâ then the traffic piece came on but could hear ânothing is going to happenâ Then a song was played right after. Ellen did apologise ironically after the song Unguarded Moment.

10:00pm Extraordinary Escapes: Rosie Jones
Iâm curious as to what question you think should be asked about the health of Duttonâs father, in the context of a leaders debate.
Yup. I saw that first then skipped past the rest of post. No thanks.
Now theyâre blaming the audience and not their candidate for their loss. News Corp really has no shame.
So News Corp is now accusing the forum, run by two News Corp outlets no less, of bias?
This is News Corpse eating itself, alive.
Treasurers Debate:
Ross Greenwood is a terrible moderator. and host. Whatâs with the yelling? And the intro .. âin 3 or 6 years you may be the PM and Opposition Leader.â Whatâs that got to do with this debate?
