I wonder if Karl and Sarah will be annoyed they haven’t been asked to host
is this also a 90 min episode? be suprised if its not as they have been runiing them all campagin, but i’m unsure if the 90 min slot ends this week or not
90 minute special next week
great - would have been disappointing to run 90 min eps during the campaign, and than once its run (and hopefully won) go back to 60 mins straight away when the night will need some deeper, informed analysis (especially if the polls are right, i’d like to hear about what a loss means for the conservatives and Duttons leadership)
Looks like Monique is also featuring with Musher on this week’s Spotlight.
The four hour broadcast will be held at Swinburne University in Melbourne on Saturday, May 3.
They should get @Leo_Puglisi6 on the program for an interview! ![]()
Isn’t be meant to be doing his own coverage on 6News?
Or studying for school ![]()
Different takes this morning - Sunrise had this YouGov poll result
Today reckoned that support for ALP had softened. “According to a poll this morning 31% .. are undecided” - no graph shown or source cited. ![]()
This has to be back pedalling?
Think it’s merely the difference between the short and long versions of the promo, with the former naturally focusing on Pete and Aly presenting Nine’s coverage.
You think it was always the plan to have them reporting? I think it’s reactionary to the involvement of Sunrise presenters in Seven’s line-up and complaining from one hosts about being excluded again.
I’d be surprised, these things are planned well in advance.
If you want to believe Annette Sharp, that is not the case. A late minute change would also explain why two prominent hosts (one of them being the highest paid) are only reporting and not hosting the coverage.
I thought you were referring to them being featured in the promo.
To address your point though, Abo was based at the Liberal Party’s function for Nine’s 2022 election night coverage so it’s not surprising she’ll be again reporting from one of the functions. Given that, it makes sense for Karl to report from the other function.
I don’t, really.
Not really - it may be in Ally’s contract when she moved to ACA that she hosts election coverage.
Peter has hosted a number of election events previously. The network has a number of high-profile hosts and they can’t all host election night.
Gee, I wonder which “camp” Karl will be at?? ![]()
Peter Dutton expressed regret for using the term “limp-wristed” to describe Prime Minister Anthony Albanese - which has been defined as an offensive gay stereotype. So if it has been deemed offensive, why is it alright for Seven to constantly run that comment in their election promos?
Using the hosts of their flagship breakfast show as reporters appearing at election parties seems like a waste of resources
