Don’t mind it, but a bit slow.

Agreed, they’ve slowed down the intro music.

Some of the shots of London with the purple shade make it look like there’s an apocalypse going on.

I also think Fiona woulda been better as the main anchor.

Really impressed with the bbc coverage. Wish we could get in HD!

Channel 4’s isn’t what I expected, is this the first time they’ve done a proper election night? Previously they’ve done the ‘alternate’ election night.

Either Fiona or Sophie Rayworth solo would be great, but so far Clive is better than what I was expecting. Nothing outstanding from Laura though.

Just after 2am in London, Lour has won about 17 seats though there is a variance between networks.

Original prediction was for Labour to pass 325 in less than 2 hours at 1pm AEST so expect a flurry of seat declarations.

The BBC has mentioned that many seats (including key government ministers seats) will be called between 3am-4am.

Now experiencing a link with one of the declarations.

Does the UK have an official source for results, like an AEC?

Labour into triple figues now

Love these

More VR - a similar presentation was popular last election.

AFAIK the results are counted at count centres, which are run by local councils, then are announced by the returning officer to the public and media, who relay the result.

CNN’s coverage is quite good for an international audience who don’t need to know the detail of every seat etc.
