PVO said in his report something about election night coverage. So 10 will be back at its 3% audience share for election night.

He said that Anne Ruston (who he’s reporting will be the government’s Health Minister if they’re re-elected) will be a panelist on the network’s election night coverage:

I wonder why PVO hasn’t done a piece to camera in days. He is either working from home or isolating. There’s been no analysis or crosses to him.

In a memo sent to News Corp staffers last week, Miller outlined some of the snazzy innovations readers can expect over the next six weeks. News.com.au readers will be able to receive text messages from Gold Walkley winner Samantha Maiden in which the site’s political editor dashes off campaign analysis and answers readers’ questions.

Enemy of all things woke Joe Hildebrand will host live-streamed discussions with candidates in 30 competitive seats and “360 round tables” with policy experts.

Another innovation is the yet-to-be-launched SuperVoter platform, reflecting what Miller calls the “gamification of everything” in recent times.

Looks like “Your Decision” it will be the title used for 10’s election coverage.

During a report tonight on George Christensen’s candicency, PVO explained the money that would be received should he be defeated as opposed to retiring before the election. PVO commented “oink, oink” while pig grunting noises were played.

That “your” part split with the flag pole looks awkward and sloppily designed. Something by about it doesn’t look right.

I don’t know why they do these on a low rating network as the free to airs won’t take it.

Kow towing to sky is a disgrace.

Part of the PM’s security team crashed in Tasmania. Seven News has been running watermarked vision. Not sure why as the same footage appeared on Nine or something very close - if anything Seven’s looked like a zoomed in or lower res version of Nine’s. So if they were perhaps trying to stop 10 from copying the vision, 10 could get it off Nine I’m sure.

You’d think all networks are in the pool if they’re traveling with the press pack. These are the usual arrangements unless they have their own extra cameras.

10 using vision from “ABC Exclusive” in the 5pm news. Different to Seven/Nine, much closer to the accident.

10 announcing full election night coverage “from after the news until we get a result”. “We will have a full panel of experts and a few surprises”.

PVO in the studio tonight.

Yes first on air appearance of the campaign. Must’ve been in isolation.

10 also plugged it’s election night coverage as well.

I remember their last election night - was right after they first unveiled that set and they made full use of it with a ticker scrolling along the top etc. Hope they do the same again this time.

They had too many people at that desk.

Overall it wasn’t bad coverage given their absence in that space for more than 20 years. Back in 2019 they still produced live and locally produced news, so who knows what we will get this time around.

They still have a good group of presenters available so hopefully it’s quite a good team they can assemble.
