I think you need the 10 branding these days, especially for streaming.
If theyāre retiring the 10play brand from streaming (I donāt think they should IMO but a topic for another day), why not call the channel 10play?
The cupboard is that bare, that they are playing Deep Impact tonight on 10Peach COMEDY? While 10 Bold DRAMA are airing umpteenth airings of NCIS. Where the film is suited to the latterā¦
Naming these channels Comedy and Drama is silly - where various cooking shows, travel shows, game shows, and shopping, all air. Crazy.

I think the problem is that most dramas and comedies produced by CBS Studios are tied up in existing deals with Paramount+ (and to a lesser extent Foxtel and Disney+ ).

Comedy Central coming off Fetch, I would be pretty confident in saying I think Peach will be rebranded as Comedy Central soon, Neighbours is going and they can go all in.

I think that would be crazy. Apart from Neighbours, they screen about twenty other shows which are not comedy. They screen game shows, cooking shows, chat shows, lifestyle shows and Entertainment Tonight. A lot of it contributes to their local content quotas too.
There would need to be huge changes or it would be a comedy channel with much content which is not comedy.

Thatās what Iād do. Switch 10 Bold into 10X with encores and catchups of feature programming plus drama programmes.
It would also act as the overflow channel for live sports or anything else.
I donāt think they have enough content for a full comedy channel.
They literally already program one
Keep Bold as is based on that 10Bold is a fairly good brand IMO

But itās not entirely comedy. They would have to chuck more money at it to be fully comedy.

I agree that they would need to spend money. I wonder if they could get some of the more controversial British comedies at a bargain price given they could probably only screen these in the early hours with warnings that it may offend some viewers
Even if the plan was to make it a full comedy channel, then they would need to relocate the 3 and half hours a day of infomercials they screen between midnight and 6am.
Could there be enough space for another channel. I ask because if you look at SCA, they have SBN and Sky News Australia, two channels that Ten metro doesnt have.
If it were possible, it could air the reality encores, infotainment content, religious programs and infomercials? Perhaps it could be spruiked to women and younger audiences like 11 originally was.
The channel could be 10Peach from 2am until 6pm, and called 10Peach Comedy from 6pm until 2am - like how ABC2 used to be called ABC Kids (until 7.30pm) and ABC Comedy/ ABCTV Plus (from 7.30pm onwards). And promote the living crap out of it. And shaft Neighbours to 10Bold Dramaā¦
And they can continue airing repeats of reality, cooking shows, game shows and home shopping outside of primetime.
Why not name it 10 +1?
That way it doesnāt have a theme and pays homage to the original name Eleven.
Also, that way you can air all your filler and junk and reality repeats - and make it something like ā10 plus laughs is 10 +1. Watch it now on channel 11.ā or something.
And yes, ADVERTISE & PROMOTE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD 10.
