At what point do the executives say “oh so everyone hates this platform we need to change it”? They have had guests on 10s own programming stating how horrible the service is. And it’s even more saddening to think that they paying for a service that barely works…. Even Vimeos OTT service is better and i’d imagine cheaper.
As much as Melbourne needed a new set, this should have been the priority. I’m pretty sure it’s older then the Melbourne set too.
The sooner Beverly is gone the better… but heaven help SBS if they end up with her!

Saw a promo during Sam Pang Tonight encore that 10 has bought the rights to Rematch, and is streaming the miniseries on website and app. Rematch is a 6-part Franco-Hungarian drama, starring Christian Cooke as Garry Kasparov. It premiered in Europe in September 2024.

Looks like 10play add more gameshows, including the very old episodes of 1 vs 100 UK and Million Dollar Money Drop

I noticed these too today.
Tenable was screened on the ABC. There was an Aussie version of 1 vs 100. Million Dollar Money Drop is a failed show from 2010 which only lasted a few weeks.

Is 10 Formally Play going to update their Systems soon.When I Watch a Show you can’t pause it during an Ad break And Probably 10FormPlay has other improvements needed to be fixed as well?

I don’t think 10 really care that 10watchandstreamfree actually works. They only care about making sure it can successfully show ads to you, which it does very well.

Maybe I’m the minority or maybe don’t use it enough but i dont find 10(play) that bad although they’ve never got the ads to start at the right point, always a couple of seconds late.
It is frustrating though when they might play 1 paid advertisement followed by 6 cross promotions for P+ etc. Mustn’t be selling enough ads?

There was a period of about a year where I inadvertently stumbled across a hack whereby as soon as an ad started on anything I was watching on 10 Play, I was able to exit out of the ad , press resume and it would skip the ads and start playing at the next point of the program! It was fantastic! But alas, they must have cottoned on or done something because one day about 3 or 4 months back it suddenly stopped working so I was forced to endure the ads again.

still think it was disappointing they didn’t change much of the 10 app/website when the rebrand happened
would’ve thought a major relaunch like this would’ve constituted something like that, but then again it is 10 after all

I would’ve thought the rebrand would be the perfect time to rebuild the whole thing from the ground up, or at least move it to be based on the 5 or CBS app.
Ellison has spoken about how he wants to move the Paramount streamers into one shared tech stack. Not sure if that extends to local streamers but it’s the best chance 10 has to get on par with the other BVODs.

7Plus has that you exit out of the show wait a few seconds go and play again and 2mins of ads becomes 45secs.
