But would WIN have cut ties with Nine in the main markets because of the split?
I’d imagine that’s the reason that the 9 News theme is still getting used without any Copyright issues.

What difference does the day of the episode make? They probably just picked it up from some arbitrary episode number not related to anything.

It just seemed off that they didn’t even make an effort to pick an episode from the start of the week.
These soapies usually have little mini sagas that peak on their Friday episode and are resolved in the following Monday episode.
Seemed weird to just pick a random mid-week episode to start on.
Sony’s streaming service Crackle is only twelve months behind the US with Days of Our Lives.

How long has the WIN logo been inside the GOLD “watermark”? Is that new?

I think they removed it when they replaced Extra after buying Nine Perth & Adelaide.

It was only WIN GOLD for a few days when it began on 1st May 2012.
On 5th May it became GOLD.

They only reinstated the WIN logo in the watermark. The Channel Name LCN and the Idents still refer to it as “GOLD”.
