Obviously its been a while since this happened, but nine (and later 10) would always give WIN the graphics packages to use for their Tasmanian bulletin, and they never had any issues with the licencing, or the systems, aside from a few fonts, back then so I’m sure they could still do that.
Also, I know we all love to joke about WIN being dinosaurs, but I’m sure that these days, they use modern systems that could pretty easily replicate the nine GFX if they wanted.
Not just WIN. Plus it’s fun. 
Saw the new package live tonight:
I’m not loving the weird orange/pink colours and swirls behind the presenters - looks a bit like a bad 90s screensaver.
The whole package also seems more generic than the last with the one token local photo - a pity but probably convenient.
Music changes may take some getting used to. The previous version was old but a bit iconic.
Weather graphics/presentation is a huge improvement. Best thing about the entire rework.
Has the desk ever been correctly aligned to the green screen backdrop?

Surely someone from either Agenda’s or Nine’s team could have provided WIN with a copy of the project files, then made whatever adjustments were necessary to ensure they were compatible with WIN’s systems and software. That would have allowed WIN to continue tailoring the package to its own requirements—for example, retaining the dotless version while the NBN and NTD variants keep “Dotty.”
WIN still could have handled its own themes, branding and other customisations just as it always has, but the overall presentation would have felt far more cohesive. It would have given the news bulletins a greater sense of standardisation across the network and its affiliate while still allowing each market to retain its own identity where needed.
Been a while since I’ve used After Effects but usually now systems are standardised off international standards, even if camera and lighting equipment were old then open source software such as CasparCG could be used, of which would be compatible with the file standards used these days… that’s if WIN are doing the edit ‘live’ and just cutting out bloopers and ad breaks for ingest rather than pre recording every segment and having to glue each one together, which just wastes more time…
Not thrilled weather is still a 3 day outlook - how hard can it be to do 7 days like literally every other news service
I Need to know why am they are only animated in. They then just fade out after. It’s like they forgot to change the animation effect in Adobe Express (I know that’s not what they use but that’s kinda how amateur this seems)
I thought that pretty much is what they do these days. Then just have a playlist of intro, story, intro, story etc - which explains how they sometimes screw*** it up..

Is there any particular logic behind this since the entire rest of WIN News uses the (also outdated) 2006 NNN-era theme?

Could be because WA is obscured behind the presenter in the SA version, and likewise for part of SA in the WA version?
