looks like the updates get uploaded to this page sporadically.

Looks like the page was created in August, the earliest noodle update they uploaded was Nov 18th. How long have they been making WA noodles? :open_mouth:

Since November.

When WIN WA fist started broadcasting they presented the news updates out of TVT6 in Hobart.

They did have a half hour regional WA bulletin for about 5 years from mid 2000s I think.

Initially from Wollongong but later from Perth.

they have to because remember the 7 network bought GWN. So the rules do apply to Western Australia in the same manner as they do to Darwin, Tasmania and other regions

The rules apply per broadcaster. It was an offset to removing the 75% reach rule, so only broadcasters exceeding that limit have the enhanced news requirements.

So if WIN bought NBN and NTD would that exceed the limit? Then the rules will apply making either news bulletins or noodle news updates mandatory?

No. WIN would cover something like 30% of the population at that point. There is still the baseline local news requirements for NBN, but not the extended ones requiring more minutes.

Still the best blooper to date.

Not quite a blooper as it was deliberate. Looks like the usual practice run before going to air.

is the “blooper” that it actually went to air?
