Seven easily won the first week of the unofficial ratings season. Seven’s comprehensive win included all markets and key demos.

Seven’s network share was its best since the week of the 2021 AFL Grand Final. Seven also had the top 2 multi channels in total people results.

Nine held up pretty well thanks to Married At First Sight easily winning its timeslot across the week.

ABC’s share was up on recent weeks while 10’s share dropped to its lowest since week 1 of the year.

All episodes of MAFS made the top 10 while Nine News unusually missed out. The top programs in BVOD viewing were up on 2021 and dominated by MAFS with Australian Survivor also performing well.

“Both the Seven broadcast channels and 7plus are growing strongly. The Winter Olympics are a hit with Australian viewers on TV and digital, while 7NEWS , Sunrise and Home and Away are #1 again. We have a lot more great content to come this year, including SAS Australia and Dancing With The Stars: All Stars later this month and the XXII Commonwealth Games in July and August, which are going to be a massive success.”

Home and Away number 1 drama?

7 will be happy with the start to the “unofficial” ratings year. Quite likely they’ll be 2-0 up at the end of this week, 2 more than they would be otherwise.

Yeah surely that was an oversight. I know it usually does massive regionally, but considering it’s only 400k-ish metro last week, hard to see it topping ABC News or even ACA nationally.

According to VPM list above, episode 6 of Married at First Sight had a BVOD audience of 384,000. However the Total TV ratings for that night showed that episode had a 7-day BVOD audience of 393,000.

They are measuring different time periods - the list here only includes ratings for the week ending on Saturday. The Total TV ratings are for the full 7 days following the broadcast.

This definitely confirms that Night is later than Evening, as others here also thought.

Knoxy at TVT is still persisting with the opposite each morning however and it’s significant as he’s analysing it against other shows in the timeslot, incorrectly.

The live VPM rating for Nine’s coverage of NRL All Stars game more than doubled that for Fox League’s telecast.

That doesn’t include Kayo though, does it?
