Pathetic for Seven really. Shit all over by MAFS in demos and even beaten by Celebrity and Gogglebox in demos.

You make these general statements like Seven skews old. Where’s the evidence? You just based on them not making the top 10 but do you all the figures?

Their shows didn’t make the top 10 but that just means they rated lower not necessarily attracted mord older viewers. Shows on Nine and Ten are just attracting more younger demos.

If there’s a total audience and the bulk of it consists of viewers outside the 25-54 or 18-49 or 16-39 demographics, then isn’t it safe to assume a larger portion of that audience is over 55 rather than under?

So for MAFS Wednesday, for example, I take away 671,000 viewers from 1,282,000. I’m left with 611,000 potential over 55’s and/or 16-25s (I suspect the latter). If MKR aired on Wednesday and got 816,000 viewers - 312,000 of whom were 25-54 I am left with 504,000 potential over 55’s and/or 16-25’s. That’s despite the MAFS episode having 40% more total viewers than MKR. So a greater share of the MKR audience seems older to me and that’s why Seven is skewing old. The core audience is lower than Nine and a greater percentage of that audience is older.

You’re still guessing. And youre not including viewers under 16 and just assuming all the remaining viewers are 55 and over.

I’m not saying Seven dont attract older viewers. I’m saying Seven seems to attract more viewers right across the board in all demographics whereas Nine and Ten are winning those demos.

I put numbers there that don’t lie. You’re right though, lots of young children could be flocking to MKR while their parents watch MAFS. The fact Seven had one program in the top 10 for the week in 25-54s doesn’t suggest that a larger percentage of older viewers are watching their shows when compared to Nine and Ten.

According to this above table episode 7 of MKR had a run time of just 78 minutes. That’s just 65% of the 120 minutes timeslot. How to Seven get away with it?

I have watched recordings of MKR and skipped ad breaks on Fetch with the 5 minute skip feature and many of their ad breaks were spot on 5 minutes.
