Nine won the first week of the summer ratings period including wins in the three east coast markets plus the 25-54 demo. Seven, in second place won, Adelaide, Perth and 16-39. It was Seven’s lowest share for 8 weeks while third-placed ABC had its second best week of the year.
While much of the World Cup coverage slipped outside prime time, the best result ranked 22nd in total people but topped the key demo groups.
News and current affairs dominated the top 10 while ABC continued to do well with the top entertainment show of the week in Australian Story as well as four other entertainment titles in the top 20.
The top cricket result ranked 28th while 10 only had a couple of titles in the top 50 for the week with their main channel ranked 5th.
Love Island Australia continued to lead the BVOD chart that otherwise was quite varied including Fisk, UK and Australian drama, World Cup and the final of My Mum, Your Dad.
