The Real Housewives Of New Jersey: An Off The Rails Reunion
Nine secured its fifth straight national win including the first three days of the week while Seven made up some ground especially on Friday and Saturday. The win puts Nine ahead for the survey period in both total people and key demos. The one point total people margin is narrow while the network is 7.5 ahead in 25-54 and 10 points in 16-39 that will be hard for Seven to overcome.
The end of the Olympic coverage topped the week while the 20th season of the Block got off the a good start with the first three episodes the top entertainment shows of the week.
They were ahead of the Dancing With the Stars final that ranked 13th. The new season of Thank God You’re Here came in 22nd for 10 while the premiere of Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee made the top 20. Have You Been paying Attention? was just ahead of Shaun Micallef’s Eve of Destruction just outside the top 30 while Hunter launched in 45th place.
Seven News weekdays was 90k ahead of Nine’s bulletin while A Current Affair was number one at 7pm ahead of Home and Away that had a +800k average. Tipping Point was 20k ahead of The Chase but lost a couple of afternoons.
At breakfast Sunrise had its highest average of the week with a 30k margin back to Today. News Breakfast also did well with one of its highest 2024 results.
The Block did well to top both the BVOD and VPM tables.
Nine won the three east coast markets with Seven ahead in the other markets.
Nine will be happy, but so will Seven, not a clean sweep in entirety for the former.
Landslides in Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide (the former two to Nine and the latter to Seven - this one helped by Saturday’s Showdown no doubt), but closer in Perth surprisingly as Nine carry further momentum from the Olympics there and a market to keep an eye on and narrow in Melbourne with Nine let off the hook with a victory.
That YTD share for Nine, wow, that’s what an Olympics can do, let alone the key demos.
The 9Network’s key performance highlights are as follows:
The 9Network was No. 1 in Week 33 with all key demographics and Total People, recording the following Broadcast TV primetime shares across the 5 City Metro:
People 25-54: 45.11%
People 16-39: 48.85%
Grocery Shopper 18+: 40.66%
Total People: 41.31%
9Now was also an overwhelming No. 1 in Week 33 with all key demos and Total People, recording the following CFTA shares across Australia (measured across the entire day):
People 25-54: 55.35%
People 16-39: 57.72%
Grocery Shopper 18+: 52.24%
Total People: 52.80%
The Olympic Games Paris 2024 final day of competition and Closing Ceremony once again captivated audiences in Week 33, with the Sunday night/Monday AM broadcast driving the 9Network to a weekly share win on both broadcast TV and BVOD.
Monday night’s launch of The Block Season 20dominated entertainment viewing, with the premiere the No.1 show nationally in key demos of People 25-54 and People 16-39, while was the night’s most watched entertainment format in GS 18+ and Total People
Nationally, The Block Launch was watched by a consolidated Total TV National Average of 1,402,900 viewers, with that number expected to rise over the coming days and weeks
9News Sunday was Australia’s No.1 most watched program in Total People and in key demo of GS 18+, with a Total TV National Average Audience of 1,451,300.
