Seven won its first week since week 2 and its first week of the survey period with wins in the three AFL markets while Nine stayed ahead in NRL land. Seven also won 16-39 with Nine winning 25-54. The closeness of the main channel shares will mean a wait until 7-day consolidated numbers come in to confirm the win in that area.

Seven’s victory followed overnight wins starting Wednesday as Nine’s schedule featured just two episodes of Married at First Sight while Seven posted its biggest audience shares of the year on Friday and Saturday.

This week’s top programs featured two reality finals and associated winner announcements with Survivor’s making the top 10 and Idol in the top 20. Hard Quiz again made the top list for ABC. The top ranked sporting entry was Seven’s Friday Night Football that was 24th. The new season of RPA debuted in 33rd place.

Alone Australia did well to rank 3rd in the BVOD chart for SBS.

However there was a drop in BVOD ratings from episode 1 to episode 2. I wonder if some viewers didn’t like what they saw in episode 1?

How did 7Bravo perform in Q1? A Seven executive said in a release or media kit that the channel’s ratings should be realised or something “by Easter”.

I don’t think it’s been as successful, at least at the moment, as they’d thought and hoped. It’s doing better than 7Food Network, but doesn’t look by a lot. You’d hope its target of young women (but slightly older than 16-39s according to a pie chart they did) has shown a significantly higher share.

Their Q1 release was interesting, they phrased the channel as “healthy”.
