Disappointing result for Seven, losing main channel and network share from the previous Wednesday as Nine grabs the night. ABC dropped slightly, 10 edged up and SBS did better. Nine won along the eastern seaboard with Seven winning Adelaide and Perth.
ABC had the top-rated entertainment shows while Sven News was again number one at 6pm. House Rules stayed above 600,000 at 7pm as ABC News and A Current Affair were down week-on-week. House Rules seems to be under-performing in Sydney and particularly Melbourne. The Project improved on the previous Wednesday and topped the demos for the timeslot. A repeat Paramedics saw a big drop from the previous weekâs first run program.

Mark Ferguson very competitive with Peter Overton lately.

House Rules is really not doing much when they have next to nothing as competition. They would have been hoping for it to hit above 700k before the end of the week, surely. I would love to know how it ranked in the demos compared to Bondi Rescue.

House Rules is doing okay. But could do better with the less compeition on other channels.
ABC did well as per usual for a Wednesday.
New episode of Bondi Rescue on 10 cracked the top 20. A nice show that will get repeated quite reguarly on Saturday nights. Lol.
It seems that Seven decided to split the ratings for The Latest into two segments last night. I canât understand how than can be sanctioned by OzTAM. Anyway the (presumably) second half rated +100,000 less than the first half ranking 28th. Modern Family that followed ranked 40th for episode 1 and 57th for episode 2.

That just proves how unpopular House Rules is in the demos. Masterchef and Lego Masters are going to smash it.
Bondi Rescue is competitive against House Rules in the demos. Itâs a shame it will be taken off the schedule next week for the new season of MasterChef. I think Bondi Rescue should continue on Friday nights at 8pm following Jamie Oliver: Keep Cooking and Carry On, especially with The Graham Norton Show reducing its episode length for its new season.
A poor performance from House Rules against little to no competition. Iâm expecting it will fall into MKR territory next week against LEGO Masters and Masterchef.
Its a pity 10 donât just air Bondi at 8:30/9:00 on Wednesdays until Secret She Keeps begins.
Big night for Lifestyle channel last night - Googlebox again over 200k and Selling Houses not far behind.
The Supercars E-Series got Fox Sports an entry as well ranking 5th - rare these days.

I can see a reason for ACA. I helps keep a consistent rating available across the year for the 7.00 - 7.30 pm segment that Nine can promote to advertisers. But a show at 8.30pm being split makes no sense.

I can considering OzTam have proven to be a toothless tiger when it comes to regulating ratings coding. They should have taken action a long time ago but instead theyâve allowed the networks to basically do whatever they want.
The only saving grace for them is it hasnât devolved into a âwild wild westâ situationâŠ

The ABC will be pretty happy with those ratings for Hard Quiz & Mad As Hell!
All things considered House Rules should be performing better (especially in Sydney & Melbourne, where You Canât Ask That even had more viewers last night) than it has been so far this season, no doubt itâll go downhill once Nine & Ten have some half decent competition!

One hour shows shouldnt be split into two for the ratings, like: Seven + Nine News, The Project, The Latest, The Chase, Hot Seat and Sevenâs 4pm News. Thereâs really no reason for it. And weâd have more shows in the top 20.
The only shows that i dont mind a 3-way split codings are: the weekdayversion of: Sunrise, Today and Studio 10.

None of the 7mate animations made the key demos last night, a rarity, letting Seven down overall in the key demos.
â
Those saying HR had no competition, A Current Affair and Hard Quiz definitely are.

ACA and Hot Seat beat HR and The Chase in Brisbane, but again 7News wins both half hours. Same as yesterday. Seems unusual.
This has put up 7News Sydâs ratings. 9Melbourne still keeping leads on news. 7News QLD keeping their streak.
