The much-awaited Big Brother final number are in! And they are a bit of a disappointment. The main part of the program rated below several episodes. nine and Seven were equal with the previous Wednesday with 10 up one point. Bachelor in Paradise maintained its launch audience.

Not a massive finale for Big Brother but it was the top show and smashed Bachelor In Paradise again.

10 should have avoided putting BIP against BB.

Home and Away was not helped by the BB lead-out.

Although the BIP numbers aren’t that strong, so far it seems to have been performing better than last year? (If I remember correctly).

Seven will be a bit disappointed with the ratings for the BB finale which was basically a reunion.
RBT and Emergency were steady against BB finale.
In Melbourne, the first half of Nine News pulled 410,000 viewers for three nights in a row. Hasn’t seen this since March. The Wednesday bulletin stayed above 410,000 for the entire hour.

As predicted the Big Brother finale did not rate much better than a usual episode, even without MasterChef as competition. In fact the finale lost viewers from the previous episode apart from the winners announcement. There was no way of building momentum or getting new viewers for a finale that was just a reunion.

Bachelor in Paradise still beat Big Brother finale in 16-39. Pretty fair effort IMO.

By a mere 2000 viewers.

More like 25,000 viewers. I said the finale, not the winner announcement.

Underwhelming figures for an underwhelming finale.

The figures for BB finale aren’t flash but Seven would be reasonably pleased that it still beat its competition and it probably justifies the show’s renewal for next year.

Indeed,BB’s not setting the world on fire, but seven desperately needed to drive the average age of its viewers down and it’s certainly achieving that.

So far, Bachelor in Paradise has been quite steady, hovering around 500,000 viewers over 4 episodes. 10 wouldn’t want its figures to drop further, especially with Australian Ninja Warrior having started this week.

Surprising though that 10 managed to beat Seven in 16-39 despite the BB grand final and usual 7Mate animation Wednesday performance.

LOL

Reckon that finale figure will result in Seven/Edmonel rethinking how to go about structuring the final week of the show. Judging by what people on here said, it seems like it was anticlimactic

LOL indeed.

Not the greatest numbers for the Big Brother Finale, but i think it is passable for another return in 2021.

Various ABC shows in the top 20, typical for a Wednesday night line-up.

Well the overall series averaged around 650-700k 5 city metro plus record VPM figures on 7+ so it will definitely be back in 2021. Seven’s other two tentpoles MKR and House Rules struggled on around 400k this year.
