Another win for Nine, cementing its lead for the week, as 10 got a 2 share point lift from last week. Nine won all markets except Perth. 10 ranked second in Brisbane.
Married At First Sight topped the night despite dropping 50,000 from last week. Survivor posted its best Wednesday result this season with this week recording the show’s highest average so far this season.
My Kitchen Rules recorded its lowest Wednesday number so far. This week has seen MKR’s two lowest numbers of the season and its lowest weekly average ever.
Doctor, Doctor improved this week for Nine, First Dates dropped slightly for Seven, and ABC’s line-up tracked lower.
Survivor took some viewers away from Hard Quiz and Mad as Hell.
I fear MKR will finish this season on a limp based on this week’s ratings.
Survivor down on last night again (albeit up on last week). It was a fantastic blindside pity it didn’t rate higher. I still think the twist turned people off this week. My mum loves survivor and chats to me every week about it. She only watched on Monday. I really think 10 needs to look at the US version this year and implement that twist into the game. They can return 2 or 3 players to extend the show to the episode order.
That’s stating the obvious.
Hard Quiz and Mad as Hell deserves to do better. Mad as Hell especially had me in stitches last night.

And best Wednesday this season, giving it the best week this season.
That is great. It was a great blindside. Although it is a bit hard to judge because as Cynic has said in the past longer episodes seem to rate higher and last nights episode was the longest Wednesday episode so far this season (with others finishing just after 8:30).
There were 2 Wednesday episodes that weren’t 90 minutes - the others have been (at least) 90 minutes.

First run American Dad highest commercial multi-channel program in 16-39s, which is strange as it was after 9:30pm and the usually higher rating Simpsons and Family Guy had lots of eps. Also it was still outranked by ABC Kids in this demographic!
With barely over 350k metro viewers last night, I think it’s fair to say bye bye First Dates!
Personally I think My Kitchen Rules will have to be seriously retooled if it’s to have any chance of returning in 2021, although the damage has probably already been done.
On the multichannels, can’t say I’m massively surprised that Chris Tarrant’s Extreme Railways was 7TWO’s top show after the popularity of recent railway documentaries on the public broadcasters.
I think First Dates might scrape through for another season because it returns some of Seven’s best demos - easily better than MKR at the moment. Last night 10th in 25-54 ahead of Home and away and MKR.

As expected Survivor made big grounds as people watched in consolidated closing the gap with Mondays huge episode. The twist paid off with such a big consolidated figure and online views
Great increase for Survivor. Really has done well in the ratings this season. I wonder if 10 is seriously looking for local locations for the next season.
