Seven won its fourth night of week 33 in the closest contest so far. Seven won Sydney, Adelaide and Perth while Nine won Melbourne and Brisbane. However, it was that Nine won the key demo groups with Seven second in 25-54 and 10 second in 16-39.

Seven’s Farmer Wants a Wife Reunion was the top entertainment program with Home and Away second with another good performance (second highest of the year).

The Block on Nine was unchanged despite the lessening of competition but a top 5 performer in all demos.

Seven’s new drama RFDS got off to a great start with +600k viewers. It ranked 12th in 25-54 and 13th in 16-39.

The Bachelor continues to disappoint but at least was up by around 50k from the results in the Olympic weeks with a top 5 place in 16-39.

Rosehaven only got a small bump from the previous week’s season opener that against the Olympics.

Good start for RFDS. It will be interesting to see if the drama can retain its audience with a new lead-in (Nurses).

The Bachelor still languishing in the 7.30pm timeslot. Not sure if double epsiodes tonight and next Wednesday will help lift the show’s ratings.

Nine News won by small margin over the hour in Sydney and Brisbane.

While Nine is now back on top in Sydney and Brisbane, it only won at 6pm in Melbourne - Seven won the hour.

Fantastic figures for Neighbours. People can’t seem to get enough of the Nicolette storyline. Love her or hate her (as most people do), she’s ratings gold.

@TV.Cynic with Home and Away up about 100k on its pre Olympic weeks, is it’s demos better or is it the older crowd giving it a bump. I notice, its online numbers are lower, so some must be watching “live”.

Interesting to see bachelor ahead of Farmer with the demos. The block probably breathing a sigh of relief last night ahead of the pack in demos.

You have to laugh at The Block being beaten by two shows (Voice/Farmer) that used to air on the same network. Jeez Farmer skews pretty old too, usual for 7’s demo though.

Bachelor really not firing this season, even without Olympics competition. Burning off episodes this week and next not likely to help either with fatigue or the franchise and a pretty boring casting choice.

10 may want to push Bachelorette back in the schedule this year and Perhaps they may rest both versions next year (pending how Bachelorette rates) and return in 2023 with a refreshed format.

The Home and Away demos are also better. It now tens to outrate ACA in them. Still beaten by The Project.

My apologies if this has already been touched on in the past but is there a reason why Seven and Nine still split their news into 6pm and 6:30pm? It’s just wasting 2 spots in the Top 20 :rage:

Very insightful.

I would say use the search tool up the top and you’ll find there has been a LOT of discussion on it already.
Mainly going back to when Seven shared the 6:30pm slot with News/Today Tonight in the different states and it’s just never changed into one slot in the top 20 with Nine obviously keeping the breakdown for strategic reasons just like Ten with the Project and News also.

As well as Hot Seat, The Chase, Sunrise, Today, Seven Afternoon News, Today Extra, The Morning Show, ABC News Breakfast …

I do wonder what RFDS could have done with. Voice lead in. Lead in likely won’t be as strong next week. And RFDS on Tuesday night would have been a nice hark back to Aussie drama in that slot on Seven (All Saints and Rafters etc).

But for drama these days, a solid start. Will drop though.

Thanks @ekane .

And oops did I make a faux pas in this forum again? :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

At breakfast, Today recorded its highest audience since March 2020. The show was just 4k behind Sunrise. While Sunrise’s audience was on par with its usual pre-Olympic audience it was a big increase for Today that closed the gap, after finishing third yesterday. News Breakfast was only 25k behind as well.

Coincidentally the ratings for the tie in Sunday and the tie in Brisbane was the same number after rounding. Before rounding, the biggest audience for any market was for Today in Brisbane.

Later, Today Extra outrated the Morning show by 20,000. Today Extra Late was also a winner, 45k ahead of The Morning Show Extra (largely devoted to media conference in some markets).
