Preliminary numbers put last night’s SOO up slightly on game 2 that had 1,965,000 but well down on game 1 (2,181,000) of this year. With the addition of cricket on 9Gem it saw Nine grab almost half the national audience and win all markets. It was Nine’s highest network share since the NRL grand final of 2017.

No one interested in the bullshit reason Dee was missing for 16 years in Neighbours?

That episode should have received a massive boost. No one cares.

Nine did extremely well with a network share of 48.3% thanks to Origin And the cricket World Cup between India and Nz. It was a close match as NSW sealed the series.
I expected that 2.2 million people will watch Origin but dipped to 2 million. Some people were in pubs watching Origin on big screens while others prefer to watch it on 9Now. As well as this, Nine also included different cams with commentary free.

SOO last night was lower than the 2017 decider which had 2,497,000, but well up on last year’s game 3 (1,754,000).
Massive night for Nine regardless.

Huge numbers for Nine. Nice win for the Origin.
And the cricket helps over on Gem too.

I was switching between the spider cam and ref cam, only watching the main channel on 9Now for the replays.

No one has cared about Neighbours for about 20 years. I just wish that the media realised this.

A big drop for Masterchef from last year - down from 747k to 555k.

Even Mad As Hell well down on normal under 400k.

Yes on last year, ABC, 7 and 10 down over 500k but they didn’t all go to SOO on 9.

also, the Perth market almost outrated Sydney in the Cricket World Cup last night! Yikes!

Do you think that perhaps the Sydney audience was otherwise engaged? (As was the Brisbane audience, which had lower ratings than Adelaide)

What i’m saying is that most Sydney Siders are watching the State of Origin over the Cricket. The Cricket continued its telecast into 11pm (East Coast) with New Zealand taking on India. Match was still in play during that time.

And why is that surprising?

Surprisingly, I was watching the cricket after the Origin final siren blew. At 8:10pm (Perth Time), I switched to 9GEM to watch the Continuing cricket coverage between India v New Zealand. India was still batting during that time. The match was a close with these two sides battling out. Match finished at 9:45pm (Perth time). In eastern states, some people headed straight to bed during the 33rd over.

What a weirdly specific observation…

But what I’m saying is not a lot of people watched the cricket at 11pm on the east coast. People will be very tired. As well as this, India will be eliminated from the World Cup.

I haven’t watched Neighbours in years.

Neighbours show rated much lower than 120k. Back when the show was shunted from 10 to 11, the show had a good healthy audience at 6:30pm timeslot but as years gone past, the ratings have taken a decline. I just don’t know why Neighbours is still rating soft
