He expects countries like Jordan and Egypt to take them in as refugees. He has said as much.

Just ask the Germans what they did from 1939 to 1945.

Can’t wait for Trump to be imprisoned so he can write the sequel to Mein Kampf - Mein Kampf Zwei: Elektrischer Boogaloo.

It is the sort of thing fascists or would be fascists do!

Just another example of Trump putting his own ideology above the interests of everyone else.

This proposal is quite frankly not only completely untenable (short of triggering a humanitarian disaster in excess of the current situation to accomplish this) but will only stir up the hornets nest that is the Middle East even further (and isolate both the US and Israel further from the wider world).

If Netanyahu is foolish enough to decide to go along with this he can kiss goodbye to most remaining support not only for his government but for Israel full stop outside of the US (given he’s done a fantastic job of eroding the significant goodwill expressed in the wake of October 7th over the past 16 months).

I dearly hope that the next Knesset elections see Netanyahu and Likud kicked to the curb and a party like Yesh Atid or the Israeli Democrats coming to power that will try and negotiate a settlement to this situation (i.e. a real two-state solution) that can actually gain support and traction from both sides of the conflict (and thus may actually have a chance of resulting in a lasting peace).

If Trump tries to put this utterly foolish plan into action, I can see the people of Gaza resisting to the bitter end (and it would be a bitter end)- at that point they will have nothing to lose and feel they may as well go out swinging, and frankly (despite the fact that I am probably almost as far from a pro-Palestinian activist as one can get), I wouldn’t blame them in that situation.

The issue with Israel’s Knesset is that left or right both major parties in power and opposition have this very Zionist superiority outlook about them and have often supported actions against Palestinians on both sides. It’s frankly the only thing they have in common and any parties who are opposed to it are very much in the minority of the minorities, as such whoever they elect will probably continue this sort of neo-fascism that Netanyahu seems desperate to drag himself along to.

Reddit isn’t really the most reliable source for obvious reasons but I checked out their sub-topic on US politics discussing this and there’s evidently a large proportion of Reddit users saying ‘How do you like that people of Dearborn’ for voting for Trump last year, only to be met with a reaction of ‘Oh we had our reasons and Harris/Biden sat on us so much that Trump was better and the incumbent was worse’.

Now that this sort of buffonery is even being raised in the International sphere, Biden/Harris doesn’t look so bad now do they? Palestine long game my arse.

It’s getting more unhinged by the day. He’s even exceeding my expectations.

You know you’re on the wrong side of history when China of all countries have come out to oppose this. So the country who has a terrible record in forced relocations has ironically spoken out in this. Says it all about Trump.

Hope the Republicans get crucified in a few years time when the midterms happen.

Biden stood by as Gaza was reduced to rubble.

What Trump is doing is abhorrent - however Biden laid the foundation with his support of the Israeli campaign, so yeah he still looks pretty bad to me, I’ll be honest.

Harris failed to differentiate herself on this issue too, just too wedded to the Biden platform.

We’re talking about the least worse situation here. Who knows if Trump was in power during 2024 what on earth he might’ve unleashed. Likewise, I doubt we’d see Biden endorse this sham of a plan even if he can’t think for himself.

Having seen what’s happened with Trump and Netanyahu in the last day or so, the cynic in me seems to think Netanyahu secretly wanted Trump back in the White House and with his far right coalition, was able to resist Biden’s attempts to mediate this and Harris also became collateral damage. Biden kept calling for and tried to secure a ceasefire with Blinken leading and Netanyahu just ignored him whereas Trump’s envoy goes over and he bends over backwards. Totally not sus.

It doesn’t get any better, this would be funny if it wasn’t so serious. Are we all saving to buy a Jared Kushner penthouse in Gaza?

Also what trump is allowing Musk to do is just about criminal! What a much better place this world would be if this creep had just faded away into obscurity.

By the way these are only my views and I’m not trying to influence or make people do or think as I do as suggested by another poster.

So now we’re about 3 weeks into Trumpy, and so far all he’s done is:

  1. Started deporting people all over the place, even some who’s probably got legal status here but got deported anyway because they were ‘illegal aliens from Mexico’ and denied birthright citizenship illegally.

  2. Pulled out of the WHO

  3. Pulled out of Paris

  4. Pissing together with Netanyahu and then suggesting that Palestinians should be removed from their land and America should take over Gaza

  5. Suggested that Canada becomes part of the USA

  6. Suggested Greenland should be part of USA

  7. Implemented then backflipped on tariffs for Mexico and Canada whilst implementing 10% tariff on China because of some imaginary fentanyl outbreak

  8. Got Musk to run some sort of secretive operation under the guise of DOGE whilst accessing treasury and other departments’ confidential information.

  9. Confirmed absolute lunatics like Rubio, Hegseth, Bondi, Duffy, and soon RFK Jr, Gubbard and more morons that should be in a mental asylum than running this place.

  10. Cutting departments left right and centre. Starting with the supposed ‘fat’ on the meat that is USAid, but is now reportedly coming for Health and Human Services, and also wanting to get rid of the Department of Education.

  11. Placed sanctions on the ICC because they dared to criticise Israel.

  12. Suggested that the Panama Canal should be back in American hands, even though it was contested waters until Jimmy Carter gave it back to Panama in his presidency. All he does is trash his predecessor’s legacy because he can.

All the same time, the prices of eggs have not dropped, petrol prices are still high and housing is still unaffordable overall.

Anyone who still supports this absolutely circus of a presidency has got to be bat crazy themselves. The Democrats aren’t much better but they would never be this level of terrible.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk each took to social media this morning to rage against members of the media who have said or reported something they do not like, calling for the news figures to be fired.

Ah yes, boss level snowflakes. Can dish it, but can’t take it.
