I know. I purposely didn’t want to give them more publicity for this
idea.
Nice seeing Todd Woodbridge on the cover.
I wonder if we going to see all the Gold Logie nominees on the cover of the mag un the lead up to the Logies?
May be tricky if some are not currently on air (Lisa Miller, Julia Morris). Irwin should appear to promote the Logies.
Woodbridge currently on Tipping Point and Wimbledon coverage.
They did have a photo shoot with most last week to announce the nominees with Julia, Poh, Lisa, Ally and Sam so they should already have photos to use. I’m sure Robert will get a cover as host.
What’s the Future of the TV guide in TV Week I think they should try to get Schedules for some Fast Channels because Pay TV is Fading Away as fast as Rupert Murdoch can say Foxtel, and TV Week Woke is getting Stale and needs a Massive Update Transformation?
The numbers of viewers who tune into would be tiny. Hardly enough reason to include them in the TV guide. And there’s hundreds of those channels out there so you’d need about 50 pages to include them
TV Week is already covering Streaming and Pay TV options. The TV guide isn’t the only reason to buy it. Readers buy it for the articles on the programs and actors/presenters etc.
Why are you saying that?
The future of the TV guide for TV Week will remain as it is. We get 6 oages for each night as it is - 4 for FTA and 2 for Pay TV (Foxtel). We also get streaming pages prior to the guide and when these shows are airing. We dont need extra pages for the guide.
Although, a few of us have mentioned in the past that the guide does needs a little refresh as it is. An example is Nine’s guides. They usually list all of their late shows (they can squeeze them in), but other station’s columns get lazy with “late programs” inserted, despite having room to list more programs.
no need to buy the magazine when they’ve already published the cover story online?
It’s odd that they do this. You’d think they’d only tease with a paragraph and make you buy it.
And TV Week still hasn’t given The Cheap Seats hosts a cover. ![]()
And they probably won’t.
HAA will be back next week. It hasn’t had a full cover for a few weeks… We’re due.
No, thanks. Move on. ![]()
I like the idea of yhem featuring more of the Gold Logie nominees on the way to awards night. Sam Pang already had one recently.
Poh and the Masterchef judges deserve a cover around about now. Ally Langdon and them Julia and Robert should have one clise to awards night.
There’s five more issues of TV Week to come out before the Logies occur on the 16th of August. Todd Woodbridge and Lisa Millar have each had their moment of fame on the cover (complete with a “Gold Logie Nominee” badge) - I think the five remaining nominees will grace the next five covers in the lead-up to the Logies. We’ll see on Monday.
Well that was a prediction last year too but it didn’t happen.
Sam Pang was on the cover just 6 issues ago. And talked about passing the Logies hosting baton on Irwin (and talk about Ground Up). Is it too soon for him to return on the cover?
I wish they had a cover for each Gold Logie nominee, but they have always been selective and show just two or three at most.
If he was on Home And Away he’d have had 3 covers since then
