Sam Pang gets another cover, this time for his own show.
TV Week has provided an explanation on Instagram about why they are so obsessed with putting Stephen Peacocke on the cover. It seems theCEO of Are Media, Jane Huxley, is obsessed with him so they must be doing it to keep her happy (and keep their jobs
).
Explains a lot
So the obsession will continue….. Exciting times ahead….. lol.
On another note - there was a slight change to the latest issue. On the inside back page is a new feature. Instead of the usual “throwback” to an old TV Week cover (which oddly was of 2023 in last week’s issue), is not “favourite moments”. This week’s feature was “Is this TV’s best Dog”? A feature of sorts to the film Red Dog, and brief mentions to Lassie, Bouncer from Neighbours and Roger from The Durrells. I wonder if the favourites feature will continue weekly, or it was a once off..
those flashbacks rarely went any further back than about 2021. I think they did a mid 2010’s issue not too long ago. That’s almost prehistoric by their standards.
They do need a bit of a change. Most of the features have been the same for about 10 years now.
There was time that they updated the mag every year. Probably way too much but now it’s the opposite. TV Week could do with a refresh.
If it isn’t a cheating scandal then it’s a crisis. ![]()
We get a cover for a show that doesn’t exist yet but they still haven’t but the team from The Cheap Seats on a cover, despite their success.
Steve Peacocke still gets a mention. CEO will be pleased ![]()
Didn’t Rove start back in 1999, or does that brief period at Nine not count?
Well the tag line says 25 years of Rove Live which is correct because it started on 9 October 2000 on Ten.
The show on the Nine Network was simply titled Rove in 1999.
in favour of His Royal Highness Stephen Peacocke??
The new Editor doesn’t put Neighbours on the Cover much.I thought the preivous Editor gave it bad Coverage, with this Editor not Promoting Neighbours I’m not expecting the Final Episodes of Neighbours to get much love from TV Week .
Very poor form from TV Week, especially since Neighbours returned two years ago. Very limited cover time. Will see of there’s any cover mentions in the next 5 weeks before it ends on December 11.
Home And Away will probably have wound up for the year by then so that might create an opening for some Neighbours coverage before the obligatory Home And Away-themed Christmas issue.
