TV/Media Vehicles

Must be AI. As if NEW FM could afford a chopper! (or to even sponsor one). They’d only be able to afford the fluffy dice for the windscreen!

I can’t remember when they had this one, but it was someone else’s that was also used as a Westpac rescue chopper.

EDITL Found the group it came from, it was owned by Steve Bazics with callsign VH-MXW

Another batch of broadcast vehicles around Hong Kong…

Another TVB van, perhaps an equipment car given there isn’t any news branding?

A newer car with the combined Hoy/Cable News branding, and a motorbike with the Cable TV logo if you squint into it (I didn’t dare take a picture up close) :eyes:

Another Phoenix TV bus ad, this time celebrating their 30th anniversary (since splitting from Murdoch’s Star Chinese Channel)

And a radio van, particularly of HK’s major commercial broadcaster.

Or could the van be carrying actors to/from filming locations? I can see dark green curtains through the van window.

I count it!

Helping commuters beat the rush hour traffic (well… they use to).

That looks really familiar.

That old van looks so American!

Now it’s channel 6 haha :joy:

NXFM Road Runner vehicle on the rear left of shot from 1997.

(Despite what @ElCapitanCranky might try and tell you that’s not me on the skateboard! It’s Newcastle Knights legend Andrew Johns after the 1997 ARL Grand Final).

I would not tell people that is you on the skateboard. You wish you were Joey.

Now this would be more like you (and me admittedly, but for the sake of the joke, this is you)
a man is riding a skateboard on a street while two boys are riding skateboards .

Prime Team Volvo…who convinced Prime to sponsor a Swedish car?

Although…wouldn’t mind one of the Prime patches…

Maybe because TVs and Volvos are both boxy?

Perhaps the local car dealer, who advertised on prime and had a penchant for racing was involved? :hear_no_evil_monkey:

Could have been Tony or Tim Leahey.?

Triple M Mazda RX-7

Would be a great promotional angle these days now that Triple M and Channel 7 are under the same ownership. If only Mazda still made the RX7.

Yeah, could’ve been the MMMazda RXSeven.

IIRC, Dick Johnson raced in cars with his 17 styled in the 7 logo at the time and other cars with the 7 number did have the 7 logo in place. There was a car that had the number 2 in the 2WS font with a smaller WS after it.

In any case, it’d be better than the Radiohead POS666

I know it’s Homer’s car, but I’d imagine Radiohead’s design skills extend the same as Homer Simpson’s does.
