Nine’s sixth Tuesday win though it was a bit closer than some recent results not helped by some very low results for Nine news bulletins and A Current Affair. Nine again won the east coast markets and was a winner in key demo groups. Seven did better in the demos than most days thanks to 7Mate and 7Flix.

The biggest reality mover was Love Island, shedding 137,000 from launch, though still making top 5 in 16-39.

The Block fell from yesterday’s reveal episode though it was up from the previous Tuesday while The Masked Singer was on a par with Monday’s numbers. It was a battle between the two in the demos.

Bride and Prejudice finished fourth in its timeslot not helping Secret Bridesmaid’s Business. BH2010 dropped 80,000 from last week to rank 27th.

While Seven’s primary share fell, its network share actually went up from last Tuesday with increases for both 7mate and 7flix. Secret Bridesmaids’ Business continued to creep up.

Big drop for Love Island.

The Masked Singer has lost its momentum but still this is what 10 would have espected.

Bride and Prejudice really bad this year. I don’t know what happened there. But I also don’t understand how 7 could get thumped so badly at 7:30 and still only be 2% behind 9. Whatever they are aring between 9:30-midnight must be strong.

It’s a good point.

These are the two schedules last night

11:30 PM Trial And Error

Nine

07:30 pm The Block

If you look, program for program, Seven won the news battle by a huge 170,000 with 7pm a small win to Nine. The Block was 467,000 ahead of Seven at 7.30pm but SBB won its timeslot by 4,000. Seven was behind in the next contest involving The Proposal but The Latest and Trial and Error were both slightly ahead of Nine. The combined total of programming saw Nine with about 3 million viewers, 369,000 ahead of Seven - so it was Seven News that really helped keep Seven competitive with the rest of the night fairly even.

Thanks cynic. It is interesting to see that 7 news is the real reason for the higher percentage even though they are half the audience at 7:30.

Interesting comparison. Combined multi-channels was only 0.3% difference between Seven and Nine, the former with an extra too. To it really was the earlier programs on main channel that helped Seven.

Although, as Cynic also pointed out, 7mate and 7flix great in the key demos.

Are you watching it?

God no. But it did well last year.

Then maybe you shouldn’t be so surprised people have lost interest.

Maybe. Its still a large drop year on year. Just because its not my type of show doesn’t mean there wasn’t interest. Last years results clearly suggests there was.
