The Data may not be reproduced, published or communicated (electronically or in hard copy) in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of OzTAM. “Overnight” figures include “Live” (programs broadcast during the 2am-2am broadcast day) and “As Live” (programs recorded and then watched within the same broadcast day). “Consolidated” figures include Live, As Live and “Time Shift” (programs recorded and then watched within seven days of the initial broadcast).

Seven had a narrow win in network shares while Nine’s main channel came out on top by an even narrower margin. Seven and Nine were both down on recent results; for Nine it was its lowest Tuesday share of this year’s survey. Meanwhile ABC was up 2 points while 10 improved slightly. SBS was steady.

Seven won Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth as Nine took out the NRL markets. Nine won 25-54 while Seven won 16-39 in another close contest between the three commercials.

Nine again separated the Boardroom from the main program component of Celebrity Apprentice. The Boardroom ranked as top entertainment program with Home and Away second in primetime. The rest of Celebrity Apprentice was up on last week for its best Tuesday result of the season. Second at 7.30 was MasterChef also improved week-on-week, slightly ahead of Big Brother that lost some viewers to rank third at 7.30 after winning the timeslot the previous week.

The ranking in the 25-54 demo saw all reality shows miss the top five – MasterChef was 6th, Big Brother 7th and CA The Boardroom 8th.

For ABC, Love On The Spectrum finished on a season high following on from Anh’s Brush With Fame that was steady.

Later, The Weakest Link recorded a season low, down 15k from the previous week.

The Chase was notable for recording its biggest audience of the year.

If you look at the detailed ratings report Sunrise actually came second yesterday. It takes time but breakfast figures do fluctuate as well so it’s hard to tell when Sunrise will be competitive again.

Sam’s border rants last year wouldn’t have gone well with viewers and it’ll take a while before they get back on top.

Yes I saw the ratings report hence I wrote that comment.

Sunrise only just finished 2nd in Brisbane yesterday with News Breakfast hot on their tail. However on Monday, News Breakfast beat Sunrise in Brisbane.

Sunrise did make a bit of a come back after Sam departed but the numbers in Brisbane are back to where they were earlier in the year. The 6 out of 10 lowest audiences for Sunrise this year have been in the last 2 weeks in Brisbane.

Putting aside that it’s farcical that a recorded reality program is coded as two separate programs in the first place, Nine shouldn’t be able to pick and choose when they separate the boardroom elimination from the rest of the Celebrity Apprentice as it suits their ratings manipulation/spin purposes. It’s either they do it for every episode or they don’t do it at all

If The Weakest Link’s ratings continue to slip, it won’t stay in the post-8.30pm timeslot for much longer.

Watched it last night. Horrendous stuff. Could have been done so much better.

Nine just wants to win (unsurprisingly) so don’t expect this to be the last show to get this treatment. Wouldn’t be surprised if Beauty and the Geek gets the same treatment (probably with an ‘Elimination’ segment coded separately) if it performs to about the same level as Celebrity Apprentice. Not to mention The Block which resorted to ‘Room Winner’ segments for last year’s Sunday (and one Monday) episodes.

That NCIS (first run) figure (as provided by Cynic in his article) is pretty bad, long gone are its 1 - 1.5m metro and often night/week topping days. Being outdone by old repeats on Bold (e.g.) more than 200k the other night.

Great to see that Love On The Spectrum finished on a season high, despite last night’s episode being a double-length one. Provided that it continues to perform well on iView and Netflix picks up the 2nd season (like they did with the first), I think we’ll eventually get a LOTS: Season 3.

By contrast, I suspect The Weakest Link will be pulled from the schedule very soon.

If you look at the 5 City ratings for Sunrise & Today, you can see very close for Sydney & Melbourne. The only think helping Sunrise is Perth with their dominate lead (in all shows).

And Adelaide.

But Sunrise still won 4/5 markets so they would be pleased.
