Seachange debut does very well for Nine in total people and demos. The Block up slightly but not to levels of recent years.

Survivor lifts again to highest number since launch - up 90k on the same episode of last season.

Overall Nine won all markets except Perth plus key demos. For the second night in a row, 10 was a clear second in the demos.

ABC’s decline to reboot Seachange is Nine’s gain basically. It will be interesting though to see if the drama can maintain those ratings since reactions on social media have been mixed.
Not a bad start for Dogs Behaving Very Badly.

Got confused last night when The Block had room reveals, it wasn’t promoted as such.

Can’t believe 7 managed those high numbers at 7:30. I expected a bigger drop.
Survivor holding well but NCIS losing a huge chunk. Going for same audience as seachange and interview. Pity there is no Taboo to capitalise.

Ratings report, includes numbers for breakfast, morning and afternoon news for those interested.

In a future post like this, is there any chance of slipping in what Ten get between 7:00-7:30am?

Survivor has been fantastic for 10. Good signs for 10 at the back end of the year with Masked Singer and presumably The Amazing Race still to come.

The Block has really lost momentum on last years season. People are obviously tiring of this format. And perhaps they need to cut some of the crap (advertising).

Seachange started off very well and will only improve throughout the week in timeshifting and online views. The demos weren’t too bad either. Hopefully this brings in some encouragement to launch new dramas from seven (I don’t remember when their last new drama was).

Studio 10 and Today Extra razor thin margin for the later portion (as seen in Cynic’s special ratings article today)!

Ping: @blackbox

Repeats.

Get on sportsbet now and put money on them saying Today in next weeks podcast :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Better than the Super Switch (arguably similar content).

Perhaps Super Switch should have been named Couples Behaving (Very) Badly. :slightly_smiling_face:

Well, they did try the ABC reboot/spin‐offs too recently. The Doctor Blake Mysteries. Unsuccessfully. Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries. Relatively unsuccessfully.

If you look at 10 Bold’s YOY growth in 2019, to be one of the top performing multi-channels (thanks primarily to NCIS re-runs stripped, as well as Bondi lead-in, with consistent weeknight schedule of SVU, CSI: Miami, NCIS: LA and Hawaii Five-O), it’s growth already starting last year on Mondays when there were x3 NCIS eps.

You can see it’s at the expense of 9Go! and probably more so 7Two (closer demographics), both well down.

Would you agree @TV.Cynic or anyone else?

The biggest changes in multichannels to the same point as last year are:

10 Bold up 0.6
9Gem up 0.5

7Two down 0.5
7Mate down 0.4
7Flix down 0.2
9Go down 0.2

7 multichannel drop partially made up for by 7Food averaging 0.6

With asterisk next to 7mate last year (Winter Olympics and Comm Games boosts) and 9Gem this year (CWC and Ashes boosts)

7Food is consistently one of the worst performing multichannels, usually only beats NITV. You’d have to think it’s not worth their effort.
