Without a reality format in the line-up Seven’s share took a hit on Tuesday but thanks to 7Mate’s Paralympic coverage the network still managed a marrow win. The network was down 8 points from the previous week while Nine, that had the most popular channel, lifted by 5. ABC and 10 also improved while SBS was steady.

Nine won Sydney and Brisbane with Seven winning the other three markets. Nine won 25-54 while 10 won 16-39. Seven was third in both.

The Block won at 7.30 with a season high over 900,000 – up an amazing 300k on the previous Tuesday and 100k on Monday. Next best was Survivor that topped 700,000. Seven’s offering of a repeat ABBA special managed 500k.

Seven must be really regretting not running an episode of The Voice last night (or having commissioned enough episodes), giving The Block a free kick.

Following The Hundred with Andy Lee and The Cheap Seats both posted small increases from the previous week.

Nine’s afternoon line-up continued to do well with Afternoon News and Tipping Point again in the top 20.

ABC News Breakfast outrates Today

Seven dragging out the Voice is giving The Block room to breathe and grow which won’t bode well for SAS.

With news that Holey Moley is on next week, Survivor should pick up some eyeballs now for the race home after Sunday as it has stalled a bit this week. Still good for the show and network but should’ve seen momentum grow.

Edit:Holey Moley USA I might add…

The Block really benefited from the absence of The Voice.

Nine News won in Adelaide over the hour, however Seven News took out Sydney and Melbourne.

Seeing as we’ve seen little actual work on The Block this week, will the show be able to retain viewers once the ‘scandal’ is over?

The Block did well with the “scandal episode”, and no competition from Seven’s The Voice. The Hundred with Andy Lee the followed did well too. The Block should do well tonight, but will it do well next week with “no scandal”?

Ten’s Survivor came second in its slot, which is good. While Seven’s ABBA Special did average!

Tipping Point scraps into the top 20 again. I always wonder how Judge Judy and the cooking shows go on Ten against this and The Chase UK. They used to rate, but seems to be not seen in ages.

On very rare occasions over the last year Judge Judy popped up in consolidated and it was mid 100k
EDIT: In January on a Friday after consolidated it was 125k, 108k overnight

They are definitely not dragging out The Voice. It is such a short season. There are literally 2 more episodes.

The Voice was down to two episodes this week and is just one episode a week for the next two.

At breakfast, the commercials lost audience dropping to their lowest numbers in about 2 months. That saw News Breakfast take second position. Sunrise was 15k ahead of News B that was 25k ahead of Today. The biggest drop in audience came in the Sydney market for both commercial programs while Today dropped to third in Brisbane.

Now that’s something you don’t see everyday. News Breakfast winning is kind of becoming regular but it’s rare for Today to go 3rd after being so dominant in Brisbane.

Obviously referring to dragging out the episodes over the next two weeks, and not the show itself.

I meant the spacing of episodes. They have gone from 3 to 2 to 1 episode a week

As previously discussed, it’s clear Sunrise have massive issues in Melbourne and Brisbane.

News Breakfast has been performing well in Brisbane for sometime now.

No idea why 7 would show The Greatest Showman again… it’s ratings were poor last time too.

Because their programmers are lazy, as always and would just dish out any repeated rubbish apart from their 7.30 shows and RFDS.

Since the Olympics Nine news Adelaide has been working it’s way back.

Level the night before and winners for the hour tonight.

It’s been an interesting year in Adelaide News ratings and there is still plenty to be played out.
