Nine News had a rare though narrow win at 6pm as COVID-19 developments saw Nine Melbourne record its 2nd highest rated bulletin so far this year. 10 News First in Melbourne posted its highest audience of 2020 while for Seven it was the third highest audience in Melbourne for 2020. Nothing special for ABC News though.

Seven just scraped through with a win overall as Nine’s share improved from the previous week. 10 was also up slightly while SBS hit double digits. Nine won along the east coast with Seven wining in Adelaide and Perth. For the third consecutive night, Seven ranked third in Melbourne. However, it was 10 that won the key younger demographic groups.

MasterChef was the top entertainment show last night recording its largest audience for three weeks. Next best at 7.30pm was Big Brother, that was again lower week-on-week. Also at 7.30, Nine’s Paramedics was up while SBS’s Who Do You Think You Are? made the top 20.

The first part of Joanna Lumley’s Hidden Caribbean series also did well for ABC.

Wow, that must be the biggest audience for the 6pm bulletins in Melbourne in a few years?

(EDIT nvm. Still bloody high)

That’s the biggest audience for Nine News Melbourne since late March/early April when the Federal and state governments imposed community lockdowns. If that bulletin was coded separately I am pretty sure it will outrate the upcoming AFL matches on Seven, and become the most-watched program in Melbourne this week.

Any figures on the afternoon Adelaide bulletins?

Interesting news results in Adelaide!

Pretty much the same results as posted yesterday - same order, just slightly lower for all Chase, Hot Seat, Seven 4.30pm and Nine Afternoon News. Seven 4pm up very slightly.

Maybe the promo? :stuck_out_tongue:
Nine News Adelaide was strongly competing at 6:00 but dropped at 6:30

While they had huge numbers at 6:00, huge drop at 6:30 where Seven News Melbourne just trailed behind in that period

Masterchef has just done such a great job for 10. I really didn’t think it would continue its strong figures when going down to 3 nights a week. I thought the lack of momentum would follow on to Masterchef. But it hasn’t been the case. Myself, I have tuned out of Masterchef unfortunately but it is a great product and I am glad viewers are still watching it.
