Tuesday saw Nine with another win though slightly less dominant. Nine was down 1.5 points from last week as Seven improved slightly and 10 lifted almost 2 points. SBS was up but ABC was also almost 2 share points.
Nine won along the east coast and in the key demos. 10 performed well in the demos as well ranking second.
In the reality TV battle Survivor Australia hit a season high for the tribal merge, up 80k from the previous Tuesday. MKR was up slightly but Married At First Sight lost ground to record a season low, dropping below 1 million only for the second time this season. That compared to 1.26 million for the equivalent episode of last season.
The saw Paramedic lose ground and The Good Doctor improve to make the top 20 this week.

SBS main channel and World Movies both increased their shares from last Tuesday. I wonder what movies aired last night.
The end of Griff’s Great Australian Road Trip sees the ABC’s share drop.
Just outside the top 20 in 21st place was Nine’s Botched showing that there is an audience for certain programming at 10pm. The shows moves next week into the earlier timeslot of 9pm for first run episodes.
From Nine:

Good to see Married At First Sight below 1 million metro viewers. Hopefully it’ll continue to fall.
With Griff’s Great Australian Road Trip on the ABC now over, it’ll be interesting to see if next week’s finale of Great Australian Railway Journeys on SBS gets a ratings boost from last night.

Maybe they can do a crossover episode with some of those hideously looking altered faces on MAFS.

Married below a Million. Due to bringing back ex contestants again? Seems to be a trend here across multiple networks of recycled reality Talent not firing in the ratings.

The networks don’t seem to be getting the message about the recycled reality stars being a turn off.

10 made the right decision doing an All Stars version and pitting it against Married. It has been very competitive especially in the demos.

I agree, but I also think Survivor is a rare show where people should have second chances, its a bloodbath competition with big characters. Thats the premise. MKR, Masterchef, MAFS, The Block etc dont need returning stars, these shows arent supposed to be about taking each other out.
Is that the closest gap between MAFS and Survivor. Survivor won Perth and some city demos.

334k difference between Married and Survivor last night, not too bad all things considered, even closer in the key demos as Turdall said. Married went under the magic million too.
10 have done pretty damn well to challenge Married (and MKR). Wonder how Nine bosses would be looking at 10?
Seven meanwhile still in trouble land.

I don’t think 9 would feel too threatened. I think 7 should be more concerned. But clearly survivor has taken viewers from Married as well as MKR. Married is down quite a bit on last year. I just think 10 made the right decision airing survivor in Q1. It’s audience wasn’t quite catered for last year.

What was on in the second half of 9News Brisbane last night to cause a big spike. Ratings peaked and then went back down again for ACA and MAFS.

To borrow a phrase from Jonathan on Monday’s episode of Survivor, Seven’s post-7.30pm ratings are “truly pathetic”.
