A close reality battle on Tuesday saw MasterChef come out on top with 668,000 national viewers, up 50k week on week. That was ahead of The Summit that improved 60k with Dream Home down another 30k from Monday.

That saw Seven down three but with a three-point winning margin over Nine that was up one. ABC and 10 also improved their shares.

Later The Cheap Seats was a standout with a season high audience and up 40k ahead of The Summit and Dream Home in the demos. Tony Armstrong’s show held steady while a new season on The Good Doctor was on par with Clarkson’s Farm.

Tipping Point improved its lead over The Chase while Deal or No Deal was in the top 30.

A Current Affair was notable as well for one of its best results of the year.

I know it’s hard to compare, but is Masterchef down on last year’s numbers? I thought it was getting around 600k 5-city last year.

Most episodes were in the 400k’s 5-city.

482,000 last year on this day. Generally has been slightly higher on average.

Tipping Point numbers getting more impressive - Would this be Nine’s best ‘new’ commission for 2024?

Err isn’t DH ahead of TS?

You tell us Mick, you work for their publicity team

Sorry my mistake, fixed.

Only because 7’s offering is not doing well. Summit hasn’t gotten a big increase even after Farmer ended and it’s still behind both 10 & 7.

Big win for Nine News - Seven has its lowest Tuesday since Easter. Today viewers missing Karl. The Chase falling further behind.

Nine won the 5 city market in total people and demos 10 was second in demos. Nine won the three east coast markets. MasterChef easily won the metro markets with The Summit second.

Sydney preferred The Summit then MasterChef
Melbourne overwhelmingly preferred MasterChef with Dream Home and The Summit tied.
Brisbane preferred MasterChef while Dream Home bombed.
Adelaide had MasterChef first and Dream Home second.
Perth stayed loyal to Seven with Dream Home first ahead of MasterChef.

Well it’s obvious why, but there’s a big difference coming 3rd in Total peoplewith a 100k difference between all 3 realities compared to when other realities are on and it’s up to a million viewers in difference 1st and 3rd.

Then you have to look at demos, 2nd and not too far from 1st.
Question is, is there profit for it for 9 if they air it a tiny bit later next year away from Farmer and keep themselves looking more competitive.

Seven (namely Sunrise and Seven News) have really fallen off a cliff in 2024 in Melbourne…

It can’t just be Shirvo replacing Kochie, TP and Nine’s Alicia and Tom replacing Hitchener, surely?

Imagine how bad things might be without the AFL, also shows like Farmer and we presume DWTS!

I think of it as going back to status quo. 9news dominated over 7news for like a decade until 2020. I think it was only 2021-2023 which 7 turned thing around and started to dominate. Now it’s back to normal/status quo of 9 having big wins

Although 9 was able to win and start dominating very quick, not even been 6 months. I think for 7, it was only until mid 2022 before they had a real advantage.

@TV.Cynic Might want to re check some of the positions listed in this post. .
H&A, 7.30 and ABC News seem to be in the wrong spots.
