Very close night with less than 3% separating the three main commercial channels – as usual Nine won the three east coast markets with Seven ahead in Adelaide and Perth – 10 was consistent across the country and won the three younger demo groups.

The Masked Singer was down from debut but still ranked as the number one program of the night. That saw The Block drop to its lowest Tuesday number this year as Seven’s Top Dog was 4th in its timeslot. Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds had its best result so far to dominate its timeslot ahead of the debut of BH90210 that beat the season final of Seachange that recorded a season low.

The Masked Singer rose in Melbourne and Adelaide, indicating small number of viewers tuning in for the first time after watching the Brownlow on Monday night.
Seven’s Top Dog special and Patrick Swayze documentary both flopped.
Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds finishing on a high, even making it into top five of 16-39 demo.
Very close between Seven News and Nine News in Melbourne over the hour. Seven News dropped by 11,000 in the second half while Nine News went up by the same amount.

I guess a few people thought it was rubbish the first night and didn’t come back.

What a surprise. More to come next week.

The Masked Singer does well on night two, although slightly down. Its demos are fantastic. 10 obviously did the right thing holding 90210 off for the lead out of The Masked Singer. The best Tuesday figures in some time

A pleasant surprise to see Old People’s Home rate well with the younger demos. OPH has been a delight.
Remember that crappy SMH article about Melbourne TV & the Block? https://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/tv-and-radio/why-melburnians-love-local-tv-shows-but-sydneysiders-don-t-care-20181107-p50egd.html
Seems that Melbourne is no longer smitten with the Block.

I was expecting The Masked Singer to grow but still to sustain most of the audience is impressive given most shows these days see a real drop after the launch. It’s been a very long time since Ten have had a show over a mill 2 nights in a row.

One of the most pleasing things for 10 is that the added viewers to primetime isn’t coming at the expense of their multi channels - unlike the case with 7 and 9 a lot of the time. The Masked Singer has obviously seen new viewers come to 10 which has been hard for 10 to do in the past.

The Seachange reboot has been receiving mixed reception from viewers and fans of the former ABC series. It’s hard to see it getting another season.

I Am Patrick Swayze ranked 21st - not a good sign for next week’s Dirty Dancing reality show with The Project 6.30 22nd and Sunrise 23rd. The Project doing very well in the demos at 7pm.

Very true. I must admit that I watched last night. Would be the first time in about 5 years that I’ve tuned into Ten.

Good hold for Masked Singer.
Not shockingly bad figures for BH90210 - I’ve see the whole show and gotta say it was a big guilty pleasure for me.

The Block hasn’t really be challenged the last few years and Masked Singer is challenging it quite well.

That said, it was a pretty long, boring drawn out show… I had it on in the background and it wasn’t really interesting at all…

I assume most people watching BH90210 would be older than 35 ? . It wasn’t a show I was watching between the age of 3 and 11. I’ve seen only the 2008 series.

468 ,000 for a US show at 8.30pm these days seem not too bad and doing well in demos.

It seemed to have some younger viewers as well as it was Number 3 show in 16-39 .

I like the sort of show BH90210 is, but history has shown that this sort of satire doesn’t work so well in Australia. I hope tastes are changing though.

At first, I didn’t really like shows that blurred the lines between fact and fiction like this show does. But after 30 Rock and Episodes, I’ve grown to love them now for the heightened comedy storylines they create.

I’m sure plenty of younger people would’ve been exposed to the show through repeats over the years and there’s an interest in how these actors have aged.

I wasn’t alive when The Brady Bunch started yet I sit there watching A Very Brady Renovation every week with a huge, dopey grin on my face and find it enjoyable.

I thought that was how you always looked. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The fact that 10 are pulling these numbers at all in prime time is a achievement in itself.
