Seven won its second consecutive night off the back of the series final of SAS Australia. Despite the final, Seven’s network share was down by over 2 points. Most of that went to 10 with the other networks steady week-on-week.

Seven won in all markets except Melbourne that was won by Nine. Seven won in Perth by 14 points.

The SAS final, with 737,000 was the top entertainment show. The final compared to its season opener that had 834,000. Across the six weeks it averaged just under 700,000 in overnights while performing well in consolidated and VPM ratings.

Nine’s best post 7.30 result was RBT with 361k while 10’s offerings were below 300k.

At 8:30 Nine’s Australian Crime Stories led from ABC’s Wayne with the season opener for NCIS third. Seven’s SAS UK was 24th for the night.

Summer on the horizon!

NB/ Is that a coding error? Only one ep aired last night did it not? Maybe it has something to do with the main channel codings last night?

There were 6 episodes of NCIS shown on Tuesday on FTA - 4 on the main channel with daytime episodes on both 10 and 10 Bold. The main channel had 3 primetime episodes with the 2 repeats winning their timeslots and outrating the new NCIS: LA that was shown the previous week.

Channel 7 should be proud of the ratings of SAS Australia Finale and topped the demos. This helped seven win the night

Huge drop off from the finale to SAS Australia to SAS UK. Perhaps most viewers think seeing the local version once per night is enough.

SAS did ok for its finale. But the show just seemed to drag a little. I got bored about halfway through.

Seven News Sydney has won against Nine News Sydney for 2 straight days now.

KIIS 1065 plays Mark Ferguson ads at around 5pm lately, which could be the reason. Is it new?

Ahh I never knew that - what does the ad say? Is it Mark speaking live, or just a pre-recorded message to “tune in to Seven News at 6!”

Since KIIS has a national drive show from 4pm-6pm, does VIC, QLD, SA and WA get an local ad with their Channel 7 presenter at 5pm too?

@FootyKick The KIIS presenter says “Now let’s look what’s coming up on 7News tonight with Mark Ferguson”.

Then a pre recorded video plays with Mark speaking.

I’m sure Channel 7 are paying a lot for this promotion. And as of this week they have been gaining in the ratings, this could be the reason.

I’m not really sure if KIIS 1065 would be playing a pre-recorded video when there’s only audio to hear!

I probably would’ve assumed the swing in favour towards Seven News Sydney these past two nights might’ve been simply because The Block is over and some viewers haven’t yet adjusted to the new studio set-up on Nine.
