Nine and Seven increased their network shares will less competition on offer from 10. It was Nine’s best Tuesday in 19 weeks and Seven’s best in 10. It was 10’s lowest in 17 weeks. ABC also had a poor night – lowest Tuesday in 13 weeks. Nine won the east coast markets and demos as usual.

The Block scored its second best Tuesday result this year and Bride and Prejudice was a season high while 10’s new One Born Every Minute got off to a poor start (in what seems like more like a 7.30 offering). Secret Bridesmaid’s Business final was up slightly from the previous week.

Hot Seat narrowing the gap with The Chase this week.

One Born Every Minute had a shocking debut. I don’t think it’s suitable for 7.30 due to scenes of mothers giving birth.
However, it would have gained more viewers had it followed a regular episode of The Masked Singer last week.
It has been disappointing ratings for the entire series of Secret Bridesmaids’ Business. Seven will need decent overseas sales to recoup some of its production costs.

A mother giving birth is G rated content and is suitable for 7:30pm.

10 was unable to maintain any of the momentum from Monday night. Factual shows like OBEM aren’t shows that can stand on their own anymore. They should be more 8.30pm+ shows that would benefit from a stronger lead in. All in all it was a pretty rubbish night of television for 7 & 10.

Did Love Island get a bit of a boost last night? It looks like introducing 5 new cast members possibly boosted it. Doing well in the younger demos at least.

Friends doing brilliant numbers

If that is true, why was there a viewer advice before the start of One Born Every Minute saying there might be scenes which would be confronting?

All I’m saying is it is G content.

It wasn’t far behind Love Island and Secret Bridesmaids’ Business.

Plus it had a similar demo audience to Love Island.

Hardly a shocking debut. That’s more an opinion about the show rather than a comment based on its ratings. It actually did better than many would have expected.

I may have used the wrong word to describe the ratings of One Born Every Minute. Perhaps “below average” is the correct term?

What are you basing that on? Peach’s share was mediocre

Sully’s subtle attempt at sarcasm.

It was at 8:30

Love Island ran almost 30 minutes later than One Born Every minute though. One Born Every Minute finished at 9.30pm but Love Island ran pretty close to 10pm.

Is it? I can’t even see it in the top20 or the top5 in the demos.

I failed? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Maybe putting brilliant in italics next time rather than Friends would help.

I find a relevant emoji usually does the trick too
